j_rod421 Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 First time owner of any aftermarket Banshee head, so I have one question before I install on the new Cub motor. On the NOSS Head, where do the copper washers go? I figured out all the other o-rings and where they go from checking out all the other threads on the site. Any help is appreciated! Thanks! Quote
BlasterKX Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 im not totaly sure but i think they go under the nuts holding the head down. should be the same amount of nuts as there is head bolts. hope this helps for ya  Quote
baddsheee Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 They go right before the nuts on top of the head. I've also heard that on cubs you might not have enough threads to bite good so the studs might have to be backed out a bit, not 100% sure since Ive never had a cub. Quote
04chase Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 yes they go on top right before the acorn nuts , i just installed mine today. Quote
j_rod421 Posted December 26, 2008 Author Report Posted December 26, 2008 Ya, I just put the cylinders on and have the head ready to go. That's the conclusion I came to also. It seems so damn simple, but I tend to over think things out. I've already did a mock build with the cylinders and the head to make sure everything would be right on them, and on the NOSS head, you do not need longer studs or have to turn them up to catch bite. Again, thanks for the input everybody! Should fire up this weekend. PS. All you Kansas and Midwest folks, what's the going rate for 110 fuel. Before I put the Shee away for over a year I was paying 7.00 a gallon for 110 Koch. With the plummet of fuel prices, I was wonderin if people are still trying to get the same price as when gas was 4.00 a gallon. Thanks! Quote
tgbanshee Posted December 26, 2008 Report Posted December 26, 2008 Ditto on what everybody said as far as the copper washers going underneath the head nuts. I also put a dab of ThreeBond 1211 on each washer side as added seal insurance but that is probably going overboard and not necessary. Haven't had any problems. Quote
