Read this from a fella off one of my forums so I thought I would share, lol

"2004 Duramax comes in with a low power complaint and black smoke. I poped the hood lookin for a blown intercooler hose(common problem). No avail. Look at air filter, looks brand new. And see a bunch chewed paper and droppings. Remove air box, and fell on ground laughing my butt off. I couldn't of made this up if I wanted to.

I knew those trucks were powered my rats and not horses."

dam dude.. thats screwed up!!! at least he didn't get cooked in there... lol.. its wild what can happen sometimes.. those little shits are good about chewing up wires also... my dad has a shitload of classic cars in his building, he puts mothballs in the cars when not driven to keep the mice and rats from geting in there and eatin up interior, wires and what not..

yea, maybe if he had a bigger turbo the rat would have just went right through.. lol.. someone needs to write chevrolet about this issue, the duramax's need bigger turbo's!! LOL

LOL

I'd rather have what happened above happen, then having the Compressor Fins shred the rat to crap and put it through the after cooler and possibly the intake. Hell it could have damaged some fins and threw it off balance if it got chewed up(maybe) :ermm:

You think you would check something yourself when the truck is low on power and putting out soot. But nah, let's just drive it some more
