Recommended Posts

Ill give you 100

Well if that's a serious offer at least at least we have the ball rolling. Probably like to have a little more than that. I just looked, these sell new anywhere from 150.00-225.00 apiece. What else you got?

PWK's are pretty much just a newer version of PJ's. PWK's have a seperate choke and idle screw,on PJ's the choke plunger is the idle screw.PWK's have a D shape slide while PJ's have an oval shape slide

The reason for the drain plug being welded is to clear the clutch arm on the crank case. With the bigger carbs the bottom of the float bowl/drain plug would be in the way of the clutch arm to move. It's a common thing for carbs when not used with aftermarket intakes or spacers.

What motor are you putting these on anyways?

im running a stock motor, with some sort of k&n filter, with the intake booster bottle thing. and t5 pipes.

edit: so is there still a way to change out the jets (pull off the bowls?)

These would work, a little big on a stock motor but they would work. You might gain a little top end. Can't imagine they would do much for your bottom end. You are riding a Banshee though so I'm sure you know how to use the clutch. I ran these for a long time on a set of cleaned up stock cylinders. You would probably need to get bigger intakes. Don't know that these would fit stockers. I do remember a while back seeing some larger that stock but made like stock intakes. UPR I think made them. That would get you by cheaper than an allout intake setup. You might have to do some adapting if you are still running the stock airbox also. They won't fit the boots on that side. I've seen people use Ferncos(rubber plumbing couplings with hose clamps) to fit them up. Those are pretty cheap at a hardware store.

You pull the bowl off the left side to change out the jets. The right side you can pull just the plug to change main jet.

This is all stuff you could piece together until you have exactly what you want.

i basicly just tool around in silver lake anyways, so bottom end isn't really anything im use to seeing anyways :D

do these come with the cables or do i need to order some from... somewhere.

im just starting to get into 2 strokes and don't really know what im doing. all i know is that the place working on my bike said that one of my carbs is shot, and the other has some electrical issue (they are stock) so i figure, get something to set me up for my next project,

If you are planning on doing anything in the future I think these are pretty decent carbs. You could have the cable that I've got. It's not new. It's in decent shape though. I think the boot that goes on the throttle end is cracking but still usable.

How is the riding up there? I've been wanting to either go there or Little Sahara. Both are quite a drive for me. Which ever one has the better facilities would be the one. Can you camp up there?
