92 Z71
I just won a chrome Janssen -1 swingarm on ebay for $350. I was really looking for a stock length, but wanted to get my build underway. Will there be much of a difference between stock and -1 lengths? I thought I would try it out because I really wanted a roundhouse.
bbcmudtruck
Let us know how that -1 works out for ya, I was wanting to try a -1 for horseshoe racing.
peterlocal22
i have a -2 and love it. huge noticable difference so im sure the -1 will be the same. it brings the rear axle in much more than an inch because of the angle of the swingarm youll love it if you ride track or trails

92 Z71
I believe the janssen swingers are made by fireball racing I think I've read that on here before, are they ok products?
FireHead
I believe the janssen swingers are made by fireball racing That's probably true. Keep in mind there are two or three companies out there called Fireball that sell ATV stuff. Only one of them actually makes anything. One of them I sawre thinks they are the same company that makes parts (both are in California) and the other is back east somewhere. Generally speaking the one company that makes parts is the only one that is worth talking about.
FireHead
I think I've read that on here before, are they ok products? They make great swingarms and a-arms. If Fireball makes the Janssen stuff, then I am running their a-arms and swingarms on one of my bikes without any problems for the past 6 years. :geek:

Actually I know they make the jansens cause roger the owner of fireball told me. Same guys that built the hillbilly turbo busa banshee famous from youtube. There stuff is nice although i went round and round with them on a swinger issue i had. i finally gave up on them and put it in the bridgeport to make things align properly. Roger was cool about everything though really. Just some strange stuff i guess. I dont really hear about any problems with their stuff. Their a-arms are nice units. Much nicer than some of the others out there i have seen. FWIW, if you guys are considering the janssen, i would just go straight to fireball and get it from them.. They do seem like they care if you do have an issue. just my .02 http://www.fireball-racing.com/
Bansh-eman
I never really got a warm and fuzzy talking to Roger. He seems kind of full of shit. And his stories never have the same dates or endings. One time he will tell you he was the first person to ever use a 40mm aluminum axle, the next its he was the first to use something else. I called once regarding his drag axle and the website says 100% warranty, I talked to roger and he told me there is no warranty. He told me they have two different chromes offered, and then I talked to I think his name was Danny not 100% and he told me they only have one chrome. Their stories never jive, but they do make good products. I have their a arms with drag spindles, I can tell you they look great from chrome to welds. I just hope I never have issues that I got to get resolved because I can already foresee that going nowhere really fast!

Yeah, Roger is full of BS and you pretty much can't trust anything he says, but luckily he's not involved with much of the customer service side of things. rubberneck
Yeah, Roger is full of BS and you pretty much can't trust anything he says, but luckily he's not involved with much of the customer service side of things. To be perfectly honest, i got the same gut feeling. Thats why when he started promising me he would/could do this and that to make my swinger right, i just machined it myself and said fuck it. I was running out of time and had spent a ton of time trying to get it resolved. For what i spent, i shouldn't have had to modify anything, but what are you going to do. I really dont know where to go for another swinger, but if you are going to consider janssen/ASR, you may as well go to the source. I want to get a 6" arm, but dont know where to turn. Right now time is one thing i dont have, but Im about ready to just build it myself. I have a new miller dynasty 350 calling my name telling me i need to learn to use it anyway. Bansh-eman
if you were looking for a drag swinger SLC Customs has some pretty good prices. I got a +12 Ladder Bar chromed. The first one had some fitament issues, got ahold of Lance (owner) and he made me a new one, AFTER I got it and gave him the thumbsup that it was good he had me send back the other on his dime. Can say there are alot of places that are going to send you another 700 dollar swinger without getting the first one back and making you cover the shipping. Another great place to look is Sandtoyz Unlimited. Jon is an awsome dude! he can get you pretty much any part you want and 95% of the time his prices will be the lowest around. rubberneck
Yeah, ive heard good things about sandtoyz. Still wanting an arm i can dune with. I need to get the motor back together and then i will address the arm. I have been working a shit ton and cant seem to get anything finished lately I was supposed to be leaving for a week at dumont on the 26th, but work and no time to fix bike screwed that plan.
