I am not on here enough anymore to really hava feel for how many folks are doing this with HJR stuff. whether it be fast, passion or anyone else, i dont know why its considered nuthugging to put their name out there? why is it nuthugging to support your builder? i just dont get it. i also dont understand why it irritates people so much that others represents their builders by putting things in their signatures.. i dont do it, but have no issue with others doing it. I think the sports fan example is not the same thing.......... To make that example work, you would need to where the team's t-shirt, show up to work every day and tell people that your team is better than everyone else. The other two examples you have are too much of a stretch to talk about. sure its the same thing.. some fans are CRAZY about their teams.. get in fist fights over their teams.. sport team flags from their antennas. wear jerseys. have cups and plates with their team logos.. swear up and down their team will be the champ! how is that any different than someone wearing a shirt from their builder, or sporting a sticker somewhere? i really fail to see any type of difference. whether it be sports, vehicles, dog food... its just what that person likes, represents and supports.. thats not nuthugging.. I guess my point moving forward is, that you don't see anyone doing the same thing for Twister, Redline, K&T, McCoy, Gigot, LC, Port Magic, SS, Cascade, etc.... and like I said before this whole stupid BansheeHQ cultural thing that is going on here is the same stupid thing the was going on with Passion a few years ago. you cant compare those builders to the ones on this site. which of those builders frequents here? i on occasion hear someone mentioning those guys.. they are not site sponsors and arent really on a personal level with their customers like jeff, jim and kevin are here.. hell my motor was built by redline.. cameron is an awesome dude. ive told people that before, but someone like him doesnt get the recognition here because hes not around like the regulars.. i agree with you, the whole thing is pretty stupid. to be honest, i dont see it as big of a rivalry as it used to be.. you just have guys supporting their builder. which im cool with.. anyway, my builder is better than your builder!! :biggrin: Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Not only is FAST a site sponsor, he's a site member and frequently contributes. Since I am on the site once in a while... I would say none of the builders you mentioned are on the site..or if they are, don't contribute very much.... I think that's a true & fair statement. I would also venture to say most of (NOT ALL) of the builders you mentioned specialize in drag or race motors, and I'll maintain what I've always said about HQ... not a lot of drag racers, a LOT of duners or trail riders...especially when compared to other sites that have a lot more of the products and packages offered by the builders/shops you've listed. So...based on that, I think that's why you see more FAST/PASSION stuff...I think you'll see more HJR stuff soon as well, for Kevin contributes to the site too.... I am not arguing that they those guys don't contribute, as they certainly do. All I'm saying is that there is a lot of inflated advertising by the populous on here that is annoying, but maybe it's just because I am not so interested in it. I agree that the folks i mentioned previously are drag or sand oriented and certainly frequent other sites besides this one. wesw Posted December 31, 2008 Report Share Posted December 31, 2008 (edited) maybe its not so much nutswinging more just annoying. its the jeff is a good seller threads. ok we get it he has a parts store. its like saying walmart was a great seller. both places sell stuff. i know walmart isnt the best place to compare but shit happens. if jeff or anyone other place didnt have service worth a fuck they wouldnt be in business very long. if you get lots of people getting screwed over and the word gets out then most everyone will avoid that places. jeff is a KNOWN sponser and good guy and good service. maybe its just that ive been around long enough and get it. and click on new post and its jeff sold me this, jeff hooked me up with that. nothing against jeff but the shit is annoying. ya its great pub for him but the banner on top of the page should attract most to look at his store. imo is like i get a set of tires from rockymountain atv and post hey they sold me tires at a decent price. i would pray everyone would say big fucking deal, or ya we know. and i get annoyed at other thread supporting other people or places so its not just jeffs stuff. its fine to share experience of something interesting but to just sell a part is a waste of bandwidth in my opinion. there is basically a list of builders, parts places, suppliers, etc that most everyone knows is worth a shit. and the one that are not on that list well they deserve to go broke cause they have fucked people over. maybe im just old anymore. i have nothing against jeff and his business, let him grow and expand. thats the american dream. just please no more threads about selling some part. at least be something interesting like porn or something shit who knows lol. i dont know if greg was meaning that or what but thats just my thoughts. also dont know if you really banned greg but thats b.s. he was just stating an opinion and this site is beyond full of them. cant ban everyone.
