#1banshee
Motor has a new crank with hot rods long rod kit on it wiseco pistons that are 1mm bigger bore port and polished cool heads with 19cc domes... I put the reeds in with the new intake.. I wanted to check the PSI in both cylinders.. I dont know how good this checker is i got it from a friend.. In both cylinders its reading about 144-146... I have the exhaust off and no carbs on it...I put about 4 bolts in to hold the intake and reeds in i kicked it over sevral times to get the psi up and once i got it there it wouldnt go any further... B4 i took it all apart to do shit it ran awesome no prob what so ever... I dont know how rad these people went with the porting could that be why its kinda low? Motor hasnt ran in about a month or month 1/2...I didnt do nothing to the motor internal... what do you guys think? too low on compression? Motor was just rebuilt also by the kid.. he gave me all the paper work of everything he had bought to do the rebuild.. Motor is about 8 months old or so not even??? wacko2000
I believe at sea level with those domes you should be alittle higher. I know that at sea level with 21cc, i have about 155psi. You are fine, no need for a rebuild or anything though.. I think while its apart, you should take some pics of your porting....

The exhaust port timing can effect your compression as well. The higher the exhuast roof the lower your compression will be. What kind of port job did they have done to it? Snopczynski
To accurately check the compression, the motor needs to have been warmed up first, then check it immediately after.

fastrthnu
yea, put it together an warm it up and test with the pipes on and the carbs all the way open. The back preasure from the exaust and warm piston(piston expands with heat) should make better numbers.

Snopczynski
No way of telling what the port is setup for without measuring the port heights and widths.
