What Oil Should I Use?

I know this topic comes up a lot. So, just to clear any arguments up. Here is a 3rd party study of different oils.

I have always used AMS oil, I guess I will continue to do so.

Here is the link....

http://www.amsoil.com/products/streetbikes/WhitePaper.aspx

If you simply skim over it, you wont gain much. If you take a little bit of time to read it, it really explains a lot.

My job is done.....discuss

P.S.

Here is a link to the discussion on the same topic, from the Dirt Bike forum I frequently visit.

Have a good one.....

sorry but when the first thing you referance is amsoil, then your first link is to the amsoil website, then when i open the second link and the first poster has the amsoil logo as there avitar i lose intrest as i just assume it's a bunch of propaganda telling me that amsoil is the best oil on the planet.

you wanna sell me on something show me some people i know that ran x brand oil and changed once they were converted to y brand oil....

thats why i run redline shockproof because i've actualy seen an engine that ran it then had the oil drained, then ran with no oil without chewing everything up...

I agree 100%. IMO....amsoil is garbage. It seems like EVERYONE is an amsoil dealer or their buddy is.

So you get a deal on oil because of that...

I try not to base what I run/use in my bikes based on price alone....

Everyone IS a dealer. You can go to their website and pay $10 a year to become a dealer.

I do not sell AMS oil. If there was a different oil on that list that ended up better I would most likely switch if it was readily available.

It was done by a 3RD PARTY, doing ASTM standardized tests. This is the equivalent to doing EPA stack testing.

But hey, like I said, I am not here to sell you anything. Just wanted to show you guys this.

Don't get mad, get glad...

My Father ran it for years in his SBC, BBC drag race motors, i run it in most of my power equipment, then i became a dealer.

In NO way shape or form am i doing this to sell more of there product. Every thing is just what you prefer, i grew up with castrol synthetic and amsoil. every thing is about what YOU like an what YOU want to run.
