Keyser Soze
I'm picking up a Honzilla tomorrow. I'm not a big fan but I will basically have $70.00 in it. Free 1980 Yamaha TT250, $70 bucks in repair...Traded it for a 1988 Honda 250 fourtraxx im trading it dead even for this hybrid. The quad is running. He told me it has electric start and kick start, there is no key but it will kick start. Anyways the guy did not seem to know about it. He told me it was a Honda V-twin a took a pic of the motor. Its running but the clutch will not disengauge and it leaks oil when tart. He also said he thinks its a 1100cc? How the hell could you kick start that? Shouldnt be a lot of trouble...a rollin zilla frame is not bad for $70 anyways...Can anyone ID this motor.......Ill post pics of the whole thing after I pick it up. Meat
its definitely not a V and there's no way its an 1100 either
dragbanshee
Looks like the regular 250 four stroke that comes in the 250x. You sure its not?
Keyser Soze
Yea it for sure could be the 250x motor. Its definatley a quadzilla body, he sent me some other pictures that I couldnt attatch...Either way it will surprise some people lol
dirtfreak
its probably a single cylinder.it probably got the 2 pipes coming out of the head and thats why their thinking twin.just like how the 400ex's have two exhaust ports.even though i cant see the other side, seems like the motor is sitting centered.if it was a twin i would think the motor would be sitting wider instead of tucked up under the tank. 4stroker
looks like a CB250 engine to me... inline/parralel twin. pretty ordinary engine to put in a quad IMO, but hey, like you said its only cost you $70! pretty cheap fun! dragbanshee
Yea I bet it is a CB250 motor, it does have duel exhaust. Hell yes, a hell of a deal, I'd like to find something like that to play around with. -the motor
RollinRhino
No matter what your getting a deal on that. The chassis on those are pretty tough. A friend of mine is saying that is most likely an XL 250 motor. Edited December 15, 2008 by RollinRhino
