dudly
hey guys i bought my first banshee yesterday    , and i rode it for mabe 30 minutes and ran out of gas so i went n got 91 octane, but the yamalube bottle didnt have a mixing label on it so its been awhile since i mixed gas so i ended up putting a quart of oil in 5 gal of gas i was going for 32-1, so i filled up n noticed it was a lil strong n thought it was better to have to much then not enough, and then took a ride n it died like it fouled the plugs but it didnt, i had a hole n top of the left piston. so its a 04 limited edition with 4mm stroker crank, stage IV cool head, stage IV exhaust, stage IV 2-1 intake kit, has 17cc domes, have no clue if its been ported or anything, but i called trinity and he said that you need at least 100 octane or itll burn a hole through the piston, and that the gas was 20-1 which played a part in burnin the hole. wat size domes do i need to go to so i can use 91 octane mixed 32-1 right this time? and its already bored he said 40 to 50 over, its scared the cylinder wall, so should i go 80 over? wat kind of pistons n were do i get them? i would really appreciate some advice\ help on this thanks
2001Stroker
Holy shit, that's the best laugh I've had all day. 32:1=4oz of oil to every gallon of gas. Not funny that you burnt up you bike though.

Paddleboy
what is your elevation? 17cc domes will put u in the 170 psi ballpark? you need under 150psi for pump gas. i'mnot sure of the dome size to bring it down but there is a calculator on noss head site. 32:1 is what i run and it is 4 oz to 1 gal. as for pistons i'd go for weisco forged. shee4speed
damn, that sucks dude. You need like 21cc domes depending on your elevation to run pump gas.Do a compression test when you get it fixed.Anything below 150 you should be safe for pump. T_Shee
wiseco pro lite forged pistons for sure. as for the boring, i would just take the jugs to a machine shop and they should be able to tell you how much you will have to go up. if its just cylinder scarring you shouldnt have to go up to .080 over. go the least amount you have to so you can still have more bores for next time. once you get her all back together you need to make sure you get your carb jetting dialed in if its not already. im sure the 91 octane gas was bad for it but i bet your running lean as well

98_shee
Get ahold of Jeff at F.A.S.T. Racing (site sponcer) he will have all the parts you need and he is haveing a great xmas sell, and will answer any ?'s you have, as far as boring it only bore as much as you have to, I would say you need to have around 20 to 21cc domes for pump gas. Also you should get a ratio cup to mix your oil/fuel. And i would ditch the yamalube, I like castor 927. I mix a pint (16oz) to 5 gal of gas.
