im sad as hell about selling my bike, but up to this point ive been anxiously awaiting getting the banshee home. im leaving for it tomorrow. do you guys think its a good choice? will i be happier with the banshee once i get it running?

the bike is perfect, runs great.

the banshee, its an 87, extremely clean, but needs alot to get running, bascially all i have right now is a bottom end and a right cylinder. do you guys think im doing the right thing? or am i getting ripped off?

so i couldnt use a stock sized piston, and it probably wouldnt be a good idea to run side by side with a stock one, correct?

I seen a complete motor on ebay for $400 and another for $600. There is also the one with the "coors light" beer cans (looks like anyway) for a boost bottle for $3xx but it looks pretty rough. I wouldn't run 2 diferent sized pistons.

You would be better off buying both cylinders, you don't have much left on the 66.25, and you don't want to run 2 different size pistons. Ive seen alot of good deals on sets of them on here so a search in the for sale section on cylinders or jugs. Is the crank still good? If its stock you may want to get a new one just to be safe you don't want to get it back together and have it go out on you, you should go with a 4mill, I have a stock head and stator cover if you need it, Pm me if you need any help or need any other things i'll be glad to help you.

Its getting to the point where I am actually thinking about trading my '88 Honda CR for one. I love that bike and its quick as all get out, but another Banshee would be a sweet addition to my shop. Yeah, I think you did allright.

there was someone on there selling whole kits with cyls pistons ect for about 500, but Id rather just get an entire motor for near the same price, keep what you want for spare parts and sell the rest off to make some money back. just get assurance that the compression is good in whatever you get.

As far as getting rid of the bike I dunno, there a million of em around here that sell for nothing, I dont know how it around you, but you could prob get another one later on and most likelly you`ll have more fun on the banshee.
