left handed drill bit ^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

or drill it out small and use an easy out.

I bet it wont be that hard to remove if you dont jack

up the threads at the top of the hole by tryin to pick at it.

anybody?

Are you talking about the M6 counter sunk screw? If so I would guess that it isn't bottomed out, you just torqued it too much. I would try something hard with a sharp point (like a thread tap) and use it and a SMALL ball peen hammer and tap in a counter clockwise fashion. The point of the tap should dig into the shank of the bolt. Once it starts to rotate you should be home free. Or a left handed drill bit would likely work nicely in your situation.

Good luck.

thanks for the help i got it out but now i dont have a bolt anybody got one? its got a special shank that holds the lever

I am pretty sure that is just a standard M6 x 1.0 counter sunk machine screw with a 4mm hex recess. I don't remember anything special about the shank.

Is this not correct?

He is referring to the bolt for the detent arm. It is a 6mm shoulder bolt. i would sure think that bolt was ready to snap anyway if it failed wtih 8 lbs of force. A larger dealer should have it in stock. You can wing it with proper sized shim spacer but doubt it would be worth the effort.

Not sure if i have them on the website but i think we have them in stock. It is a specialty bolt with a oversize shoulder. I recommend using a 1/4" ratchet , 6" extension and 1 hand. Not much room for error with only 7.5 lbs of torque on a torque wrench and they may not be that accurate at that low of #s.

If you cant find one at a dealer or from Jeff,

Look for a company like Copperstate Nut and Bolt or Fastenal.

They usually have shoulder bolts and such.

Just get a grade 8 shoulder bolt.
