actually im pretty sure there was a recall on them for like a yr

im a mechanic and my shop has delt with atleast 6 or 7 rear ends since the gto came out!

 

 

so basically.. your goin to say that the rear ends suck because u have had to do 6 or 7 since they came out in late 2003?

Hey buddy no offence was taken. hell ya i think some of the new cars look alot sharper than my impala. but hell the car is stright up fast and comfortable. its easy to get my son in and out of and the insurances is diry cheap ( cheaper than the saturn that i had before this). so like i said no offence was taken at all. i posted her because i knew i would get peoples honest opinions and thats what i got. thank you for that.

Never heard of them having tranny problems either, but I would recommend when buying one get the 06' (Ls2) a couple of simple bolt ons and your easily in the 12's :biggrin:

i was gonna get some 20's for her but i think im going to end up selling it or trading it in for a new truck when i get home. not sure yet i love the car but i hate to store a car for 6 months when i have a payment on it

I like beating up on these cars, and the GTSlow for that matter.

 

for some reason, people think they are fast. high 13's are not fast. back in 95 it was, but in todays cars, it is average, slow for a V8 car.

 

its a family wagon that they put an SS badge on it so the family guy can think he has something besides a 4 door kid tote. LONG LIVE THE DODGE MAGNUM....another car they named cool so guys would buy it. just a station wagon with a hemi.

 

the LS2 GTSlow runs 13.4 and these cars are about 13.8 stock, same as my 87 5.0 mustang ran.
