desertdeweller
IR composit 1" impact they are great for removing all them bolts on the shees. haha I actually use the lowes impacts also for home never had any problem with them. At work we have crapsman which we always destroy. But its what the company buys so oh well. we have gone out and bought some of our tools and brought them in to the shop because the crapsmans fail so often. even there hand tools are junk. I don`t know what happened to them.you can feel the jaw stretch on the open end wrench when you tighten something down. proto has the same tool manufacture that crapsman does or they used too. but proto was better quality, overpriced though

duner
A cheaper alternative to Snap on is thier Blue point brand. I have a 3/8 inpact that I've had for bout 15 years now. It is one tool that always comes out when working on the shee.
Powerstroke
I/R airtools all the way! Cheap enough for home tough enough to use everyday. You may consider a Dewalt battery powered impact. My 3/8 Dewalt will do everything on my shee.
MILO
nothing but craftsman stuff in my garage. i'm surprised to see that craftsman hasn't come up yet.
dajogejr
I have a 1/2 Ingersol Rand that is probably 12 to 15 years old, has the 2 inch extended anvil so you could use a 3/4 or 13/16 flip socket for lug nuts (once the two main sizes....) I got it back in the mid 90's when I worked in garages. Get the rubber boot that goes over it so it doesn't get too beat up, drop a little oil, just about any kind of oil in in once a week, or every other day if you use it that much....it'll last you forever... FireHead
Ingersol Rand, baby. Matco uses IR, and puts their name on it. IR has the highest reverse torque in a 1/2" drive impact. I've had mine for 8 years now, and never had to rebuild it. Still kickin strong like it's brand new. Word. IR all the way!
