BlntdEyez
I use a Hilti cordless impact. this my not be what your looking for cause it doesn't have the torque of the air impacts. But it works fine for stators and luguts. www.hilti.com

T_Shee
im a diesel mechanic myself and i too keep my good tools at work and buy tools on sale for home. i have a snap-on impact that is 3/8 and you can put a 1/2 anvil in it at home but i really dont care for it because its so heavy. if you want a good impact for good money craftsman has composite style guns now that are pretty good. my 3/8 craftsman is as light and about as powerful as a matco and costs bout 150 or so less. imo snap on tools are overpriced. there are tons of other tools that are lifetime guarenteed and cost a ton less. save the money for more shee parts
1996dragshee
lol ahh the days of the ol' man bitching about me losing his tools.and oh how the tables have turned..every time i think i lost a tool i find it in his box lol on the impact and air ratchet note.i actually use the cheapo cordless impact from harbor freight $45.it works fine for the lug nuts and others like em and havnt had a problem with it at all same thing with the air ratchet...im a broke ass i know it lol
2001Stroker
Ingersol Rand, baby. Matco uses IR, and puts their name on it. IR has the highest reverse torque in a 1/2" drive impact. I've had mine for 8 years now, and never had to rebuild it. Still kickin strong like it's brand new.

But it works fine for stators and luguts. www.hilti.com Hilti sucks!, just my IMO, we are their vendor, we do tons of labels and printing for them. and i can honoestly say i hate everyone that works there. they want you to keep 100,000 dollars in inventory, pre printed up and ready to ship to them over night but they dont want to pay for it. then they change designs or change color of red's in their logo and expect you to throw away 100k worth of stock just because they want too...every employees the same, cant say iv met a vendor who acually likes the company. plus alot of there tool just have their red plastic, they buy all their paint equipment from wagner spray tech and relabel it. most there drills to. bastards.... rant off i baught a 40 dollar impact from lowes, just the lowes brand, iv never had a nut it couldnt spin off.. and never noticed a difference when spinning a nut or lug nut on even after trying to tighten it with a big 1/2" wratchet. just my experiance... Im in construction and most of my laser and screwguns are Hilti. Haven't had a problem yet. They always fix my stuff for free when i drop it. Dropped my impact screwgun 5 floors off the side of a building and they fixed it for free. No complaints here

No complaints here no doubt, im sure they have good customer service, i know they make their salesman go through a shitload of training. just to be a salesman, i just hate how they treat vendors, cause they know they got you by the balls. im sure every large companys like that, but i dont have to deal with them lol. Wildcardracing
Ingersol Rand here!! thier twin hammer design has been copied by almost every other brand out there. They make the Matco and Mac air tools. I have owned Snap-on air tools and wasn't impressed at all, don't get me wrong I love most of my Snap-on hand tools...but, thier air tools suck IMO. Price vs quality the ingersol takes it by a large margin!!
