MarineNYC
Was checking out my shee the other day and noticed that my rear hubs and my sprocket hub seem to be moving around on my axle quite a bit. Now I know this can happen after normal wear and tear. The hubs are stock and the axle is a lonestar +4. Now is it safe to say that the hubs are going b4 the axle ? I would hope so. Im prepping for a week trip to Glamis and would hate to get out there and shear the splines off my hubs. Now whats my best bet. Getting another set of stock rear hubs or going aftermarket ( billet)? What is stronger. Who is the best bet for aftermatket? TY
2001Stroker
Usually, if you keep the hub nut tight, they won't wear. As soon as they get just a little loose, then they start jarring back and forth, and wear them out fast. I'm looking at buying some lonestar billet hubs and sprocket hub for mine. They have steel inserts for the splines. They look pretty beefy. I doubt very seriously it's your axle. That's hardened steel.
MarineNYC
Thats what Im saying. I dont give a shit about the hubs. Realized they would probaly go b4 the axle.
Michael Jackson
i would get new hubs before you destory the splines on that nice axle if the hub splines are worn theu are getting slammed back and fourth into eachother all day and will wreck it

Dick Wheels
I don't know what kind of options there are for the banshee but on my LT250r I have a lonestar axle and I run a set of their billet taper lock hubs (To Much $$$). You basicly have to beat them on then lock them down with a allen head screw on the back on them. Never had an issue with them in years and still as tight as day 1. If you have the $ try going that route. Even if it is your axle (Doubt it is) it should be a free replacement. Only thing that sux is down time waiting for it
jbooker82
I have herd of putting some epoxy (jb weld) on the splines of the axle and then sliding the hubs on. Helps keep everything nice and tight.
