THE GRIM RIPPER
Does anyone other than Hinson make the inner / outer hubs Billet? I'm doing searches and all thats coming up is Hinson stuff (Great shit just really pricey) Im liking the quality of the Magum basket, in case anyone was considering it. Also I heard people talking good things about the clutch Jeff sells, I'm probably gonna go with that as well.
speed-racer
Try a Barnett. They are billet and have stainless steel inserts to prevent wear. Most others are just aluminum thats been coated for wear protection. http://www.barnettclutches.com/products/of...rod_make=Yamaha
THE GRIM RIPPER
http://www.barnettclutches.com/products/of...?pp_make=Yamaha That pressure plate looks sweet! Plus they guarantee in never to wear, which it will I'm sure but it seems just the plate is replaceable which is a plus. I dont like barnett's clutches but their baskets and pressure plates look good. Any other companies makin this stuff? And billet inner hubs? THE GRIM RIPPER
I already grabbed a Magnum Basket off a guy on here Speed Racer.... I think its probably the same people manufacturing the Boss one and the magnum one, they look identical
87sheerips
The magnum basket rocks, ive had one on for 2 years and it handles all the abuse u can give it. PLUS its less expensive than the others!
FASTOYS
http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=195 http://www.farmandsandtoys.com/partdetail.asp?partid=108 You dont need to spend several hundred dollars on inner/outer hubs to hold the power. New OEM ones will work just fine. The Magnum and Boss are NOT the same as we have done some testing and the Magnums seem to hold up much better! Any Yamaha dealer should be able to order the hubs or you can order EVERYTHING from us and get it all at one place and sent out the same day with no waiting for a dealer to order it 2nd Tuesday of next week.
fastbanshee8
I got the Magnum basket, and the FAST clutch, and they work great. FAST has everything you need, will answer your questions, and is very quick to ship.

Stock inner and outer hubs work just fine. All I've used for the past few years. And they're cheap...around 50 bucks give or take for inner and outer. I have and bought my Magnum basket from Jeff...and it's been trouble free for 3 years of abuse on a 4 mil cub duner and now two years on a 10 mil cub alky drag bike. The magnum and BOSS are not the same basket....I've never run a BOSS basket, so I can't speak of how they last/work.
locogato11283
i agree with jeffro and davejoejagjr i run the magnum basket and stock inner and outer. bought my shit from FAST
4stroker
the main advantage to the hinson inner hub is being able to run an extra steel and fibre plate, for more contact area. you then wont need such stiff clutch springs to hold the power. this wont concern the drag guys much but for any other racing or trail/duning it is a huge plus. i have heard of people machining their stock inner hubs/pressure plates to be able to do this also. dajogejr
You can add an extra steel on this magnum, or a stock basket. but to run an 8 disk setup (fiber) you need a different basket and inner hub. That's not factory on the hinson either unless you specifically purchase that setup... Unless you have a dragster, you don't need more plates than the stocker. jbooker82
To bad yamaha doenst make gytr clutch pices for the banshee like they do the raptor. I have the whole ball of wax on my raptor. GYTR Basket, Gytr Pressure Plate, GYTR Inner Hub, and GYTR Clutch. The pressure plate has holes drilled at an angle so it forces oil in to passages in the Inner Hub. The inner hub has holes drilled in to the splines so it kind of forces oil in to the clutch pack.
dajogejr
Jbook, two things... Is that for a Raptor 660 or 700? I run Raptor OEM 660 fibers/steels in mine now. I wonder if you could use that inner/outer on a banshee.
