BklynLOD Posted November 21, 2008 Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 So I decided to change the bearings on my swingarm. I took off all the bolts and left the big main bolt for last. Took the nut off and tried to push it out and nothing. I started to lube it and again it didn't budge. I banged the shit outta it with a 3lb hammer and still nothing. I think it's rusted right onto the shaft. I can turn the bolt with no problem, but when i go to push it out it doesn't budge. What can I do??????? 2001Stroker Posted November 21, 2008 Report Share Posted November 21, 2008 Sounds like it got a shoulder cut into it. You can either grab a BFH, or try what elllison said. Verses the 3 hours of trying to beat that fucker out!! I cant Get the swingarm off the frame. It's the pivot bolt. I"ll be seeing you for a new bolt. Verses the 3 hours of trying to beat that fucker out!! Took your advice and cut it off. Came right out. The bearings are stuck in there now. I'm gonna let it soak in some kind of lube penetrant and ordered a bearing puller at work. Hope They don't give me a hard time coming out. I have to buy a bolt from you.
