stageIVbanshee
would i need advanced timing with a stage IV head with 20cc domes and .50 over pistons on 93 octane gas? it like bogs when you start out and wail the throttle down. it just came to mind but it might not be that. i have gone through the all electronics on the bike. i think that is the problem
98_shee
sounds like a jetting issue to me list all your mods, elevation, and current jetting. A timing plate is a great way to get a little more power out of your bike though.
FASTOYS
Timing plate is a must have on a Banshee! +4 is generally a good setup to start. It Does sound like possibly a jetting issue . Try turning the air/fuel screws in 1/2 turn at at time and see if it starts helping your off idle problem.
stageIVbanshee
its not a jetting issue because i have the single carb and it has no jets, but maybe i have it set wrong. would it be running lean or rich? i think it is the timing but i didnt know. i think once i get paid for the motor i just built i will buy the timing plate.do i need to run 110 octane? J-Madd
All carbs have jets. Do what Jeff recommended on your single carb. The air screw should be on the side of the carb near where the air filter clamps on.
MarineNYC
No I dont think its your timing. Why do you not have your timing advanced already. Probaly the most bang for your buck mod out there! Throw +4 at it an put a shit eating grin on your face!
stageIVbanshee
nope it has a metering rod so you just turn it to let more or less fuel in. i dont know if there is an air screw on the lectrons but i never looked for it so i will check tomorrow morning. i am going to get the timing plate and run 93, would that be ok for the motor?
