Damnit Bob
I just bought my banshee, and it was sitting for quite some time. I started pulling apart the front end for some much needed cleaning/painting and replacements, but 5 of the 6 ball joint/tie rod studs are stuck. Ive tried rubber mallets, steel hammer (not smart, messed some threads up), tons of wd40, heat, and they still wont budge! any secrets you guys could share? sinisterboo
you are hitting in the wrong area! you need to whack the spinde. I dont have a way to show you. Just whack it sideways and they will come out.....
2001Stroker
you are hitting in the wrong area! you need to whack the spinde. I dont have a way to show you. Just whack it sideways and they will come out..... Yup, that usually does the trick. But if it doesn't, you could use a pickle fork.

polkaudio
And use a small ball pean hammer, not a heavy one. The small hammer weight has greater kinetic energy and provides a great shock to the parts when you strike them. Larger heavy hammers are for applying heavier force to move things.
