The guy that we are going with is in the Elmo suit. LOL He wears that on the Halloween trips. Pretty funny to see him racing people at the sand drags in that Elmo outfit.

I saw him over Halloween...friggin funny!!

I was wondering where you guys were gonna camp.I'll either try to camp by all 'yall or camp at Gecko Loop.

Figuring on gettin out either Wed or Thursday.

Are the trucker transporters gonna block out an area for BHQ'ers to camp?

I don't need that much room..gotta small trailer and 28"MoHo!!

Glamis Map for you tourists...

Got some questions: Is the Boardmanville store located around Palo verde flats? Where do you guys like to camp at as i see there is a comp hill way down at the bottom of map also?

Boardmanville is located several hundred yards past the railroad tracks at wash 10. We generally camped in the washes anywhere past 15. If you try to camp before then you are going to be packed in like sardines, and all the dust will settle in your camp at night. No one rides at comp any more, the rangers shut it down at night now, and there is a ton of glass all over the place because of people being a-holes over the years. now everyone races olds. Its not far from the washes. if you can ride your bike in the dunes its just a jump hop skip and your there, if you have to truck it , its a little farther becasue you have to go around and take sand highway. Stay away from Gecko, I still to this day have no clue why anyone riding a quad camps gecko. its so far from anything it's insane. Gecko is where most of your sand rails and buggies park. Althoug sat at 1 they do have the sand drags there, just make sure your at the start point and not the end!

Edit: Jeff if you look at the link jay posted, right at the bottom of the live bombing area you will see a sign for hwy 78, just below that is a red dot on the right hand side of the railroad tracks, thats Boardmanville.

If your going to make a trip out to glamis, make sure you buy your pass ahead of time or else they are double at the gates!!!

Has anyone bought this type of sling shot before that holds the amo in the handle? http://www.liangdianup.com/sporting_1.htm

this company has free shipping to anywhere in the world and they guarantee delivery to Australia. I heard that sling shots

are ok to sell in Australia as long as you say they are being used to toss bait in the water when you go fishing, any truth

to thatone?

There Comp Hill which is closed, you can see from the hwy. Olds Hill is where they race now.

I'll be out there some time between those dates... Been by the east coast camp before and damn they have a huge setup. I'll drop in this time and say hello. I wouldn't camp at Wash 10, that's the gateway to Boardmanville. Your camp will be dusted by quads all day long.

Get your passes outside of Glamis & make sure you get your visitor stickers. BLM is cracking down on unregistered ohv's, whips, stickers etc.... They've been impounding many toys this year!

Here's last Feb....

I say to camp at no less then wash 15, the farther out you go the better. There is always going to be parking, it's a matter of how crowded you want to be. The closer to the Glamis store you get (I.E. wash 1-10) your going to be packed in and have tons of dust. Go to the BLM website to get your passes ahead of time and they will mail them out to you. Also you are going to need an out of state sticker too, its like 20 bucks i think. it might have gone up becasue cali is a bunch of money grubbing hippies. Have your papers with you for the bikes, and make sure you have whips and flags. And dont be suprised if they screw with you about spark aresstors if there is alot of dumb crap going on at the hill. I have stopped going out on big weekends becasue there is alot of idiots out there that ruin it for everyone. Plus the place gets rutted and whooped out BAD!

Im not seeing wash 15 but assuming it is between 10-20? So wash 20 OR maybe Keyhole or Roadrunner would be good places to stay without much dust or hassle? Are spark arrestors required now?? I take it not many ride down at the bottom of the map at buttercup, Gordons well, Grays well, etc...? Looks like from Olds to Grays well is closed anyway..?

the washes are every half mile or so. statring from the 78 at wash 1. its just the wash that allows rain water to flow under the tracks. so it starts at 1 and goes to 200 something down to the boarder. Roadrunner is at the very end of gecko, its a pretty good trip to anything good from there, and its all through dune if you want to race. The large closer area has been closed for 12 years. it was supposed to be temp, but the hippies managed to close it for good. Down by buttercup patton and gordons well, it where alot of buggys go. the dunes are not as good as glamis, but theres still alot of guys that go that way. Its not close enough that you would make it there on one tank of gas of a quad though. They ahve always required spark arresstors, they just didnt enforce it. They have their days where they will be dicks about it, and then some days they wont care.

Ill be at 4 hopefully we get more rain to combat the dust turkey day was nice was there all week it rained wed and the dust was very light if any. Was there this past weekend and got wind blown out all day sat it was supost to rain sun or mon sun was a no rain.

I think wash 4 is the most centrally located to all the good spots it does get crowdwed but thats what holidays in glamis are all about..

i like being a little more out, much less to worry about when you got a family. Not as many people around drinking and driving at night, and riding though your camp. It is nearly a perfect shot west to olds from 15 and sosuth for china wall. We used to camp across the 78 opposite to wash 1 but now that they closed it off we havent been that way any more. that place was money, NO dust or people acting crazy at night. And if you have kids with you , they pretty much got there own little track and dunes right there. Thats also the beauty of 15 is the kiddy dunes are right behind your camp
