garhettbanshee
Ok so i went to dumont this holloween with my banshee and my girls. I rode her bike up the hills a couple times it ran great. Well it rained saturday and when i was going up comp hill i noticed her bike had a hard time getting asnd staying in the powerband like it was cutting in and out. Well i have gone through the carb(2 in to 1) twice ,changed plugs, changed cdi, changed coil, checked voltage regulator, and she ran better after i cleaned the caRb i even ran it without the filter and she did better but still spuddered at the top end any ideas? I checked aLL grounds and wire connections i even sanded the rust off the stator does anyone know whats up? maybe a pipe is clogged? She runs fine low mid and a little high range but not full throttle top end she still feals like she is spuddering and popping. Keep in mind i havent changed the jets but it ran fine with the same ones before the rain idk maybe gas with water? anyideas please help!!!! THE GRIM RIPPER
The level of humidity will affect the air bigtime.... This has happened to alot of guys on here. If your jets are spot on and you know that for a fact... Chalk it up to bad conditions and try running on a less humid day Go from there

2001Stroker
Maybe you have a small air leak that only sucks air when the engine is really sucking alot of vacuum. Check the intake gaskets and carb boot. How do your plugs look? If you have a leakdown tester, maybe check that too. You ain't losing any tranny fluid, are you? No but i dont think she has a leak either im thinking a pipe is clogged she sounds like shes starving for air and gas when you really open her up
shogs
Have you replaced your silencer packing lately? I just changed mine today and it made a huge difference.
firebanshee
Sounds to me like you could possibly need to change your spark plug boots, your resistor could be blown.

It could be the packing but i changed the plugs and caps it still does it
THE GRIM RIPPER
I highly doubt its the packing
J-Madd
You didn't mention changing the stator. You've pretty much ruled everything else out. I had a stator go bad and did exactly what you describe. I don't think the the boots have resistors do they???

05.Banshee.SE
I ran my bike on a really high humidity night... it pretty much boiled over, and I coulda sworn the damn top end was junked (because I ran through EVERYTHING and nothing fixed it.) Week later, after flushing some fluids and stuff, after the temp changed, 'Shee ran sweet again.

You can have lights and a bad stator.

Stators will act up at random unfortunately, making problems difficult to diagnose.
