Looking for a nice port job

I'm looking into getting my banshee ported for trail for a little more low end and am wondering what you guys think is the best and most affordable place to get it done. Also is a good idea to rebuild the top end after a port job to freshen it up because I think i might be needing one. So if you guys had to guess how much would you say it would cost me to send out my cylinders, get em ported, and possibly rebuild the top end?

the cheapest isnt always the best, alot of the time you get what you pay for, keep that in mind when buying anything or paying for services

id rather go eat at the restaurant that is packed every night, they are packed for a reason..

I didn't say cheapest, I said most affordable meaning best bang for the buck. I could get alba to do it for 500 but that doesn't mean HJ's isnt as good because his is a lower price. If I do it I'll go with HJ.

Also if i wanted to have my top end rebuilt would i need to send more than the jugs? I understand they couldn't install everything but they could still bore after they measure the pistons. Am I right? Last question is how much would it cost me to send 2 cylinders to CA from VA. Across the united states haha

I sent mine from miami to cali thru usps and it was like $44 but my crank was also in there so it might be cheaper . Be sure to package everything good because they have no respect for other people's stuff.

You should buy a new set of pistons from the person performing the port because he will bore the jugz to match the next size up pistons. So you will start your new port on a fresh top end. You will also need to either send him your stock head so he can shave it or you will need to buy a coolhead with whatever domes the builder recommends to compliment the port so that you can make up the compression in your motor. I run 21cc domes so that I can still run pump gas. If I bumped up to 20 or 18cc domes he said I might have to start thinking about race gas. As far as shipping them I think it was under 35 to ship mine from NY to CA. Just give Kev at Herr Jugz a Call. His customer support is second to none and he will take the time to answer ant questions you have and then some. Good luck Let us know what you do.

Hell yea Jeffs motors are some of the strongest around. He is one of the best its just toobad he is so busy. If you buy a set of unported jugs you can send them to him and just wait a couple months. Theres a reason why people dont mind waiting. :notworthy: Props to FAST

Mad probs to Jeff at FAST. Not only does he do one hell of a port job but he supports this site... Why should we support the people who dont support us...
