JasonsBanshee
What he's saying is the title to the motor is worthless. Basically that guy who has the title now owns the frame. If he wanted to screw you he could get the frame too, he has the title to it.
PJ24
so the the MOTOR cant be traced to the title??
LiftdT4R
so the the MOTOR cant be traced to the title?? nope You would have been better saying the title was lost. It's gonna be hard to sell the frame knowing there is a title floating around for it, and someone else has it. The price is right though at least. Stellar Performance
nope You would have been better saying the title was lost. The price is right though at least. thats not true....the MVD can trace the engine number via the title. All of those numbers are in the database. In Cali...the engine number is on the title along with the VIN. So getting a title with an engine is a good thing, it proves you did not buy a stolen engine! locogato11283
grind the fuckin vin off the frame. problem solved. no way to trace that frame if there are no numbers on it.
BanditOnTheBanshee
i bought a replacement banshee frame from a yamaha dealership, and it came without vin #'s or a title?
Rob Richman
i bought a replacement banshee frame from a yamaha dealership, and it came without vin #'s or a title? yeah soposibly you use the same title you had, and some how punch the vin #s into the frame, i wouldnt bother grinding the vin #s doun there is 2 spots where the vin is on the 450s, one under the shift lever, and 2 under the gas tank, good deal on the frame, id love to build a shee out of it.... Just a heads up fellow HQ'rs just to add...when you buy a new frame from yamaha to title it in az...you have to take it to a level two inspection site...have a reciept for the frame and they will also run the engine numbers through the system to make sure its not stolen..because it is traceable...they issue it a vin number there that doesnt even get close to on original vin...they are really strict about what they put vin numbers on and check all the bases
