acfine
What's the difference in moving the clip from the 3rd to the 4th position or changing my pilot jets from 25 to 27.5. I know moving the clip richens or leans it out, but I need to know the relation to low end power being affected by either of these changes, the clip or pilot jets. I installed my timing plate yesterday to +4, and from a little over 1/4 power to full, it SCREAMS! But the low end is still bogging badly amd sputtering. I adjusted the pilot air screws from one end of the moon to the other, and can't seem to get it right. I'm at my wits ends on this... any advice please, ANY advice will be much appreciated... Here's my current setup: NOSS Coolhead w/ 21cc Domes Chariot Racing timing plate @ +4 FMF Fatty Exhaust w/ CoreII silencers K&N Filter K&N PowerLid Boyesen Carbon Fiber Dual Stage Reeds 300 Mains 25 Pilot Needle 3rd Clip Thanks a ton, Anthony
Wildcardracing
Pilots and airscrews affect bottom. Needles affect mid. But, it sounds to me as though you need to check your carb sync and double check your pickup coil gap (.020"), since adjusting the airscrews had no effect.
