Engine Jetting

Hey everyone,

I was wondering if you could get me close to a good starting point on my jetting. I have the following settup: 28mm Mikuni carbs, ported cages w/tdr pedals, wiked atv dune port, 170 psi, pro lite pistons, T5's, and pro design filter w/ air box.

Thanks,

Dan

ask "wiked atv", if they do any amount of work and ported your motor, they should know wat settings their motors like, or at least a good starting point

Yeah, that would be ideal. The problem is I purchased the cylinders from a friend. Any advice would be appreciated.

You should still be able to give them a call and let them know your situation, I hope your running like 112 octane fuel if your at 170psi

Call Wicked, And BE SURE to tell them you're running an air box.

I'd bet they tell you to remove that...let it breathe...

I agree.

I bet you're choking the f*ck out of it... and it could get worse depending on what mains you end up running.

I'd rip that shit off and throw pods on it...

Thanks, I understand that I am holding it back. This is a third bike that I am building for dirt, mud, play. I really don't need to go any bigger or better on this build as I have my other banshees. The motor was put together from spare jugs, carbs, frame, etc. To be honest, I understand what I am building and what the final outcome will be, but I was simply hoping to get some input on jetting. Nevertheless, I appreciate the advice and will contact Wicked.

I'd still say throw the pods on her, and just don't do any mudding.

For $<100, the pods are worth it.
