piston and fuel question

Recommended Posts

So got the cylinders at the machine shop getting some honing done he says that they need a bore and that they have had some boring done on them. He says they need to get punched out to .60 over cause the cylinders were uneven or somethingbut anyways my question is If i go that big will i have to do some rejetting? I haven't messed with the jets so there stock as far as i know.

An overbore doesn't generally require a re-jet, depending on why it's being rebuilt. Are you just freshening it up, or did it burn down? You say your jetting is stock, are there any mods done to your bike?

Post up your exact mods and elevation, so we can help get your jetting close. You are lean if you are running your stock jetting with those mods. The pipes, porting and air filter will affect your jetting.

im jus above sea level where i live, but im going to dumont ( not sure of spelling)for new years and didnt know if its gonna affect me. Most of those mods were done before i owned that bike so i dont know if its has jetting done already i know the guy who owned it before me was mostly a sand mountain and oregon rider though.
