How I made my Banshee 45lbs lighter

Recommended Posts

congratulations.

it does a lot. fat is like a dynamic weight. when you take off from a drag launch the fat on youre body tends to want to stay in place, so even though you hold onto the handlebars, the fat sloshes backwards. same thing for hard braking, jumping, etc.

i went from 265lbs to 220lbs and i noticed a huge improvement in acceleration, not to mention my physical stamina went way up. i can ride a lot longer before getting tired now. it's also easier to load/unload the banshee. plus i dont sweat as much.

if you want to run hard and keep up with the skinny pricks you HAVE to lose the weight. it's the only way. if you get down to 215 or 200 you would gain a lot of acceleration, cornering and braking performance.

Dude, good job! 45 lbs is quite a bit to lose in my eyes. I think you'll notice a difference, it may be hard to notice because it's a gradual change. If you could go from 315 to 215 in an instant you would definitaly notice. Keep up the good work man, you're lookin great.

Guys.....this is amazing! You are doing a heck of a job and keep it up. I can tell you at one point in my life I weighed in at 205. I am 5'10" tall, but at 205 I looked huge. I now average 165 to 170 and my energy and stamina are mure greater, I feel better, and my bike hauls ass! So for you guys to lose that much weight and continue to do so, that is one heck of an accomplishment. Keep in mind....its not just about feeling better and going faster, your health is a huge part of it also! Congrats!!!!

I read somewhere that 7lbs removed is about the same as adding 1hp. So, i dont know if this actually true, it may have been someone blowing smoke up my ass, but it seems true. I am a little guy, 5'8 160 and I seem to kill other people that have similar mods. When we go to the dunes, my bro will let me ride his bike if he cant beat someone when he is on it, he is 6'0 and 200ish. It makes a BIG difference, if the race was close with him on it, I will usually pull 2-3 bikes on them when I am on his.

PEACE

It is a life style change.

That is a fact! I noticed a few years ago, after turning 30, that I needed to make a few dietary changes. It sucked at first, but man I am glad I did. I kinda beat my body to the punch, . It is not easy to lose and maintain, you guys should be proud, it is quite an accomplishment!
