bellracing2
what does this mod do ? is this a no link setup on the swingarms ? does it lower it ? raise it ? what has to be done to do the mod ?
bbcmudtruck
Sorry I didn't see this earlier, but I put one on my banshee to lower it for horseshoe drags. Basically it's a direct bolt on, however the stock shock bolts will not fit through the R6 bushings. I ordered mine from ebay for $10 (2006) and it came with the linkage and bolts. I had my buddy machine me some bushings to allow the smaller bolts to be used in the frame. I can take some pics if this is about as clear as mud. I also put 300ex shocks on the front and it sits nice and level. Here is a pic.
hitman44
hey bbcmudtruck, are you running stock arms or aftermarket +2's? Also swing arm looks stock as well?
Darthwall
the R6 shock is a good mod for a drag bike I used one on a +8 swinger and +2 out front with over 100hp couldn't get the ftont off the ground it hooked up great but for just riding around not that great
hitman44
im looking into the mod for flat track use only. so would it still be a good mod?
STINKYDELUXE
I tried it as a alternative to an aftermarket shock while running a +6 swingarm, i weigh 230# and it did not work well I ended up moving to top shock mount back(so the shock was more straight up and down) and running a stock banshee shock with no linkage with a +8. It was firm but only had about 3" of travel but with a +8 swingarm I wasn't planning on jumping.

In that picture the setup was +2+1 arms out front and the swing arm was a stock swinger that we cut down to a -1.
Canadarider
im looking into the mod for flat track use only. so would it still be a good mod? I use a r6 shock on my banshee for FT and ice racing . Works great helps keep the front down and just right amount of travel for the not so smooth tracks
