gumby6t9
I would buy the 250R since you already have a shee. The 250R's have held their value + some over the years...
xXBlessedWithDeathXx
250r parts are harder to get then a banshee and will become less available as the years pass . i would get the shee. you can have 2 with one built for a different riding style then the other. thats what i would do. jjn56
What's he want for the 250? I'd get that if its not to much.
lilmegill727
What's he want for the 250? I'd get that if its not to much. word. but then again the parts will eventually be hard to get.
BellicoseBanshee
If buying both is not an option, I would work a deal to get the Honda, the '88 is a good model year (especially if you are looking for a restoration project). If you get a good deal on the Honda, you could sell it later and probably get exactly what you paid or more for it. Even though Honda has discontinued many of the genuine Honda parts, I have had little or no problems getting 250R parts. That, of course, could change depending on demand... boneyardbanshee.
I would go for the 250R. Finding one for sale is not that common now a days and you can always find another banshee down the road. Anyone I know that has a 250R is not willing to part with it. peak-j
Get the banshee, parts will be available for a long time to come, and then again maybe the 250R parts will also. To me buying a 250R would be like buying a 300 EX, but that's my opinion, nobody take that to heart. Everyone likes different things.

Everyone likes different things. I wouldn't quite compare it to a 300EX, but I get your point... It really depends on this: If you like 250Rs, and you want one, the '88 250R is a very desirable model year. If you are just looking for another bike, buy the one that fits whatever it is you want to do with a new bike or just take the best deal... Two very different bikes, that is for sure. I agree, everyone likes different things.
F.BEJARANO
thanks guys. Im gonna call the guy with the 250r. He told me to shoot him a price and said he was hurting for money so i dont know how low i can get him to go. Im gonna low ball him and go from there. Do you guys think that if i bought the shee i could make money off of it parting it out? just a suggestion...maybe i could make some money to put into the honda. peak-j
Yeah, I know they are harder to find, I guess it just depends what your wanting, me I like the banshee's because I like the speed, and I'm not impressed with the 250r's. I know you can build one to run like a bastard, but parts are probably going to get harder to find or cost a shit load to get parts. They still sale around here for around $2000-$2500 when one pops up. Like I said don't take it to heart, I'm nobody here. Just my opinion I don't think they are what they used to be back in the day. BellicoseBanshee
There is no doubt that the 450s have replaced them. I think a good number of ATC250Rs and TRX250Rs have become hangar queens...
