bansheejoel Posted September 29, 2008 Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 (edited) i have some light purple coloring on my crank by where the lower connecting rod bearing is, its not on the conecting rod its on the counter weight or w/e it is on the crank. it got hot but its not purple around the bearing and the bearing is still tight and smooth...i think it ran to lean which blew the same piston...should the bearing be fine? thanks Edited September 29, 2008 by bansheejoel Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

If it isn't near the bearing, could it be from the crank being tig welded? According to your first post it sounds like that is the location you are describing. bansheejoel Posted September 29, 2008 Author Report Share Posted September 29, 2008 (edited) some other people are telling me its where arctic cat puts the crank together at, b/c the crank is a few differnt pieces pressed together or somthing.
