whats the best setup

I have been reading on here about how you can have a 4mil cub outrun a 10mil cub it just depends on what you have with what.''the right setup''. i have a 4mil 68mm bore cub. with mods in sig. and im wondering how i could get more power out of it. like bumping up timing or going with like a 17cc dome. or pipes or just what yal think is the best setup period. or what could i change to make it better! thanks.

Those PTRs are definately a low end, trail pipe. The cubs are top end cylinders, not a great mix. You should probably be running T5s at the very least, or CPIs or more of a top end pipe with that setup. I didnt even know you had cub cylinders on that thing (the first thing I noticed was the plastics :ermm: ) Anyway, throw on new pipes and itll be a night and day difference.

What domes are you running now? Fullbore fronts aren't really that expensive.

It looks to me like that bike wasnt setup for drag racing. Looks like someone tried detuning it. Whats the compression on the motor with those 20 cc domes. I guess it all depends on what kinda gas you wanna run

''detuned'' exactly! dont know why... but gas dont matter. 111 whatever. not sure the compression never did a test. but i wanna get it more towards dragging/duning. but deff dont want it to be held back... what timing do yal reccomend? i have heard cubs love timing  just wanting to know what to do to get all i can outta it ya know thanks for the help tho everyone.

If you want more of a dragger or duner your gonna want a longer swingarm. That bike is more setup towards MX. I think with some new plastics different pipes and a longer swinger. you will be more than happy

ok i got ya thanks. but lol... what about timing? what wil i have to do to bump it up a lil bit. what will it do if i bump it up couple degrees? or should i just worry about pipes first? what about the domes? is that gonna be good enough for a drag/ duner? im only running 35pwks by the way.

and not sure what kind of swinger this is but if i do sell it ill put it on for sale forum and i will prob say smtn on here. not even sure what its worth bro.

If you wanna email me a pic of that swinger i might be able to hep you identify it.

Im assuming you have a adjustable timing plate. Not sure what degree advanced would be best for you but to adjust it you loosen the three screws that hold it to the cases. Then you just line up how many degrees advanced you wanna go with the split in the case halves.

When you hear people talking about 4 mils out running 10 mils with "the right setup" there refering to

how the chassis is set up to get the power to the ground like for instance: size of paddles, # of paddles, gearing, swing arm length, stretched frame, lightend frame, lock out, overide tranny etc.

You should invest in a nice compression tester and see where your at.

IMO you if like riding/playing for hours on end and want it to be reliable and fun, run 160-165 lbs of compression and 4* timing, which is proably where your at now with the 20cc's.

I run 21cc domes and 4* all day long. I tried 6 and 7 degrees and my plugs backed out twice from the detonation and the bike was noticibly hotter and my pipes discolored. Also running 108 octane.
