A simple 3/4 T fitting and a $17 gauge is all that is needed. Been on my bike since March. Works great.

I use to run a an automotive temp gauge too. The vibration kept destroying gauges. I was going to try an autometer liquid filled gauge but it was too big. They only come in 2 5/8 inch. Looked to big.

I did'nt have any problems yet. If I do I'll upgrade to a Autometer.

I can not keep my CRJ guage working. The battery will not maintain contact to power the LCD. Thought about soldering the battery in place but didn't want to f**k with it. Think I'll try an inline guage unless there is a reliable surface mount gauge someone had used. I keep hearing of them failing due to vibration.

Check these out guys, Hi-perf guages The price is a little high compared to the crp's but I figured I'd just throw another option out there. I havnt tried them personally, but maybe someone else has. Whats the normally operating temp. on a shee anyways? what temp. does it start over heating at
There nice. No dought. But I like the price of mine a little better. The best part is no batteries. Edited by pabansheematt

I have had one really hard season and two lighter seasons of riding on my autometer and havn't had any problems yet. The location where you have yours Matt is same place I have mine. I like the looks and its easier to see than most people think.. I got one of the "angeled" cups on mine which makes it even easier to see.. I bought the actuall auto meter cups but allot of guys will cut off a piece of PVC angled, paint it up and walla.. Even have mine plumbed in the same was it looks like..
