Is this a carb. problem?

Ok I have had all the electrical connection apart and cleaned ( The coil and the cdi box wires) I have new plugs in. I took both carbs off took them apart and clean with carb cleaner jets and all.. Air filters are clean. I'm getting fuel to both carbs. Choke tube is in. Checked reeds look good and ran good on the other bike. Switched plug wires did not make any diff.

But when I start the shee and let it idle to warm up the left exhaust gets hot and the right exhaust blows cool air. When i give it some throttle it stays rapped up for a while like it has to burn extra gas then it idles back down. Right side which is cool air does not seem to blow all the time or as much when rapped up like the left. I did a compression check and both were good. Also when I pull the plugs to look at them after it has ran a little while the one that is hot comes out dry, the side that runs cool is damp with fuel... When I set the air/fuel screw I turn it in all the way and backed it out 1.5 turns. Is this correct to get started?? The bike has pipes and filters is all.

The bike ran good before we cleaned the carbs the first time but did not clean the pilot jet so I pulled them back off cleaned the pilot jet and everything again so I know its clean but the shee still is not running right , but we also power washed the engine. This is why I cleaned all elec. plug ins wondering if I had some moisture in one of them.

Please help!!!! The first group of us left today to go to Sand Fest I had to stay back and work, Hope to get the shee going before I leave. Thanks

hey did you take your stator cover off since power washing it? my stator seal was leaky and it always ran like shit after washing, and moister would stay in that cover for a while, and made my fly wheel look terrible with rust and recently pulled the fly wheel and you would not believe the rust. check your pick ups and the fly wheel, is your " cold' getting fire? doesn't sound like it.....

do you still have the tors on it ?

DEF a carb problem

/ sounds like its not getting any fuel ...

pull both plugs and leave them in the spark plug boot next to the head and kick it to make sure your getting spark.

but is sounds like its not getting fuel

Sounds similar to a problem I had. Verify you are getting spark to both plug wires. If so

be sure that when you put the gas lines back on each carbs you did not push the line down

so far that it kinda kinked the line. Where the gas line comes dowm from the tank to the

(T) and splites off to the left and right carbs, these lines are kind of short. If you push them

down really far on the tits off of the carbs you can get them tight and kind of pinch them.

That could starve fuel out of the bowl after running it. If this is not the issue pull the right carb

off and look/feel/whatever with your fingers and flashlight to see if that reed is broken or

cracked. If that is not it be sure, and I know you said you did, but check that the needle

and, main jets are not clogged. Also try your best to verify your float height and that its

not sticking closed preventing fuel flow. Stuff like this is alwats something stupid. Good

luck... Oh if you want to just go through the motions take off your stator cover and verify

#1 its not all wet in there, and #2 verify your pickup coil gap, #3 then try swapping the

left plug wire to the right side to rule out bad plug wire or cap. You may indeed get spark,

but under load it may cut out or not be enough. Hope you get it running.
