lt1bird
Looking at the 421 T-rex kit. Like the idea of the power valves for more midrange power and the midrang porting. Anyone have this setup with the T-Rex head? Its a bit pricy but does come with most of the parts i need.... Dont care much about the price...just want a good midrange engine. its not nickasil coated but can be re sleaved easy enough... Thanks! lt1bird
Wow, this seems to be a real popular setup
pabansheematt
Wow, this seems to be a real popular setup I dont see many people with the T-rex. Mostly cubs, due to the price. But if you want a power valve motor you should check out the 421 cheetah.
jbooker82
I think the t rex has been known to eat power valves. josh
lt1bird
I saw that in another post about eating valves but no boday could back up the hear say A few guys on this borad who did have T-Rex said they worked fine if you keep them clean etc..... I love the cheater with power valves but with the radical drag porting right out of the box im affraid it will suck to ride at slower rpms and have too violent of a power hit...... if someone with Cheaters with valves and 421 can speak up? You know, the proce of the T-rex package is not all that much more than the cubs.... only a few hundered bucks...
blanco25
dont bother with that kit. I had one. at least were i lived it was hard to find people to work on it. The parts can get expensive if you have to replace them. example pistons. I had traded it and got some stock cylinders. herr juggs ported them and they ran better than the t-rex kit i had. I heard a couple builders like the t-rex but you want to have one thats going to be over 500cc. thats just what i heard. The company that invented the t-rex cylinder is dasa team racers edge. Sales must have slowed down for that kit because they dont even advertise that kit on the website anymore the last time i checked. There are a few people on her that have that kit. pm trex banshee on here he'll give you some info. its just older technology. Just my opinion
jbooker82
Does the Twister have PV's? How do they run? josh
mawcusb
I would highly recommend the 421 Cheetah powervalve setup. All the midrange you would need. Also a more popular setup
