Fearnot
The best engine redesign they could do is put a Tzr 250 engine in there. The blue and silver color is the best that redish seat and the wine frame is ugly as sin.
2strokespirit
what changes did they make in 06?i rode my buddies 04 tons of times and loved it , awesome bikes There was alot of changes, bigger radiator, softer seat, softer front springs, longer travel rear suspension, linkage and shock changed, twin pod rear caliper from the single in 2005, modification to the front calipers, mod to the front brake lever, 10cc displacement bigger by 2mm longer stroke, and reworked cylinder head I think and higher comp ratio... There were more, but the best is 07, they had the oil mod done to it, from 06 downwards seize their cranks after a few years if you don't look after it... you can do the oil mod yourself, but Yamaha realized it was an issue and fixed it in 07... LiftdT4R
i see those bitches breaking left and right and yamaha making major upgrades for 2010.. No kidding, whenever they can make a bike that has been out and reliable for at least 5 years, Ill have no problem spending the dough for a enw one. Yamaha, and everybody now has a tendency to change a whole bunch of shit at least every other year to try and make a bike work decent. Can't go for that... While I appreciate all the technology and R&D into this bike, it just looks like a whoel bunch of stuff that 1 - I dont need. 2 - Will break. 3 - I don't know how to work on. But If in 5 years there bike is unchanged, and they run strong, Id be willing to eat my words and buy a brandy new one at that!!
differentstrokes
Wow, I can't believe it weighs 405lbs with an aluminum frame. My KTM is in the 350+lb range and the frame is chromoly. I definitely like the looks of all the YFZ's and I'm sure the power is there just like all the others.
