docjcwatson
whatever your budget is, plan on at least spending double that amount. It starts out fun and ends up being an obsession. That is the best advice I have heard yet. It's true. I just got finished getting mine ready. 3 months and in the vicinity of $13,000 later, she runs! I always loved the look of banshee's. So I stuck with a stock chassis. Mine was lightened by GT Performance from 46lbs to 26lbs though. Very competitive! Don't forget to let us know how it goes. bigboybanshee
If you give a "general" idea of what you want tips on, you're more likely to get some detailed responses. There are thousands of "tips" that can be given on setting up a drag bike. What do you want to know, specifically?
OKCterror
mainly motor setups and suspension

KaosBanshee44
5k will get you a nice built motor, drag pipes, carbs, etc but won't have that much left to spend on other parts. Are you wanting to trench the cases and go with something bigger than a 4mill crank, are you keeping the stock cylinders?
locogato11283
going with a 4mm cub motor will save you a ton of money and time over a 7mm or 10mm.. the 4mm is bolt in and go..
XxMeltIcexX
yeah, your lookin at about 3 k for a done up roller, maybe a little more.... 4 k for a motor.
OKCterror
im actually just gonna try to make a stock looking banshee one fast bitch.lol. built up cub motor, longer swinger, and maybe some plastic work. KaosBanshee44
Longer swinger and plastic work doesn't make it faster
OKCterror
i dont hope it would either, i just meant that i like how some people cut their plastics and added huge rear swingers. To me it gives it a stock yet kick ass look. Goin with a 4mil cub. Lighteneing the frame. Some stuff like that. Gettn a parts list from fast and other local shops and should be lookn to get a go on the project. Im taking my red 90 and am making it into the dragger then just buying a nice banshee from a local guy and setting it up for sand and local riding. Nothing to serious just a something to put around in then hop on the beast for a good ride.
