LiftdT4R
Yeah, what makes that Ricky Stator better then the other Ricky Stators?? Ive done a few timing plates, flywheels, stock stators, so I definately know what Im doing as far as the install goes. Ive just heard stories about the RS stators burbning out, and shit like that. ClimbAnyHill
I searched for months & didn't find anything besides RS BS.. FInally a friend hooked me up with an Alba rewired stator and works perfect with no issues. Very happy with it. They can wire you a 200!! elwilliams13
I got one from RM Stator. He is in Canada. Have had it for 3 years now and no trouble. It has 2 yellow wires at 100 watts each instead of the single wire Ricky Stator one. You will have to run additional wire with voltage regulator for the other 100 watts. The other wire plugs into your stock harness. I got it on an additional switch and run 2 100 watt bulbs in some PIAA lights.
jbooker82
I got a ricky stator 200w stator on now. Havent had any problems. If you want to try one get it from RS them selves. That way if you do have probems they will help make it right. I would hate to deal with vito's trying to get a replacement or refund. RS has good customer service. josh
rubberneck
Ricky stator blows. Have had them go out multiple times. Sure they replace it, but is it worth ruining a trip over? I will tell you this if you buy a ricky stator, dont leave home without your stock unit in the truck or you will be sitting in camp picking your ass with nothing to ride. Guaranteed. Cheap chinese bullshit

I might give them a call and see what theyre charging for that. After hearing all of the stories about RS I really want to stay away from their stuff, at least until I hear it's better. The last thing I want to worry about is whether a brand new stator may or may not work next time I go riding.
