sled
Well, my banshee blew up last fall and over the winter i had Kevin do a dune port on it. I also stripped the bike down and paint the frame and collected other parts for awhile. I lost interest in it for a little while there too, but i finally threw it back together today. all i can say is WOW. this thing is way faster than it ever was. I have major traction issues and the top end pull is unlike any other banshee i've ever ridden. Its also still has ok bottom end and dam good mid range pull. my old set up was a 4 mill with a spacer plate and fmf's for the most part. Now its got a ported 4 mill, CPI inframes, 35mm pwks, pods filters , boss intakes, timing plate, and list goes on pretty much. this things it is fucking animal and after playing around for a hour i think i need a new clutch! anyway props to HJR!! I'm so happy with this bike right now its not even funny! also i should give props to FAST because Jeff did get me all the parts fast for good prices and answered all my question when i first started do this build. Keyser Soze
Im thinking about a trail port really soon. Im on stock jugs and crank. Id like to have a 4 mil ported but money for the shee is tight. Would it be worth it to get it ported on stock stroke? Or wait for a 4 mil then have it ported. Could I get a 4mil later? Or does the porting have to match?

Or does the porting have to match? It would be well worth your money and time to port the jugs for stock stroke. It is the biggest modeification you can do to these monsters. They are so restricted it isn't even funny. And you can port it for a stock stroke and then for a 4 mil, just have Kevin do it. He will port the durations so he can later make it for a 4 mil. If it is ported too aggressively for a stock stroke, and the durations are too high, the 4 mil won't work down the road. I would do it!!! Send them to Kevin, and you will not be disappointed. You will wonder how he does it!
lunatic
So what kind of hp or times does kevs drag port jobs make? When i think of good porters i think of A&S, K&T,RDZ,D&M,Titan Racing and so on. Im wanting to have a set of 4mill stock cylinders ported but want to run atleast 4 teens? My grand river 350 runs 4.20s so im wanting to step up a little any one drag with his porting if so speak up thanks. 00tbanshee
for the hp numbers you will have to ask kev.if i'm not mistaking his 4mil stock cylinder drag port made 90hp.which i had the same motor last yr and it hauled ass.now my 421 cub kev did this yr for me is alot stronger.if we had a dyno out here i would have it done just to see how much more hp it makes.both motors run awesome and are very reliable. Kevin has Butch aka 00tbanshee kicking ass at the race tracks. You tell him what you want and he will make the power. His turnaround and prices cannot be beat anywhere, especially for what he sends you back.
lunatic
Ive had porting done from trinity, duncan (paul turner) and grandriver racing. There is no comparison the grandriver cylinders will kill the other to motors. Trinity was junk to say the least duncan was better very precise cuts and did beautiful work but didnt make near the power of the grandriver cylinders. Im thinking im going to go with rdz this go around but im still undecided.
bbcmudtruck
+1 For HJR, I have a dune port on stock stroke and it absolutely rips. I'm going to get a 4mil dune port from him this winter without hesitation.
