flipcarre
Hey guys, I bought a trinity 2 into 1 carb kit and received it yesterday and installed it. I have it running and everything but the instructions got me a little confused. On one of the instructions it says "The two wire electrical plugs located at the throttle must be spliced. To do this, cut the plug off at the connector going into the wiring Harness. The wires can now be spliced together and then be taped off. Without doing this, the CV manifold will not functuion properly. This is very important: Do NOT splice the electrical at the carburetors." I don't want to mess anything thing up in the wiring, so if someone has done this, can you show me what plugs need to be spliced. And if you even have to do this at all. Thanks, Eric. bigboybanshee
I'd be willing to bet those instructions are referring to the TORS system. Do you know if your bike still has TORS on it? If no TORS, then disregard the instructions. If you DO have TORS, then we'll need to get you a pic, lol
flipcarre
Ya, I baught the kit a few months back and removed it. So if thats done I shouldn't worry?
bigboybanshee
Yeah, if there's no TORS, I can't imagine there being anything else electrical that would interfere with your cable/carburetor/intake setup. I'd slap it on there and let it rip. When I installed my 2 into 1, I never spliced any wires, just bolted on and go.
250psd
With mine I couldn't just unplug the harnesses from the carbs. I had to unplug the brain also to get spark. no splicing. Mine is an 04 if it matters.
