hercalmighty
Ok. Maybe I'm retarded(not the first time, wont be the last) but I got a set of Keihin 28 PWK and I checked the jets to see what I have. The pilot and main seemed fine but I'm having a problem with the needle. Now everything I've read refers to the needle by three letters like HJI (or what ever) or by a 6 digit number. The problem is my needle says N68A, WTF. What the hell is this needle? Is this a needle from a different bike or quad? Can someone tell me what the hell it is and give me an idea to what the three letter cross refrence would be so I know what I have. Thanks
No Limit Powersports
Thats an oem number im not showing a cross reference for that paticular needle though.
bansheesickness
the manual calls for a 5N7-
hercalmighty
Ok what does 5N7-3 cross over to? Does anybody else got something to add? Can someone suggest a needle for me? I have T6's, no snorkel, drilled airbox with inserts, Vforce, and about 500' above sea level. I have a 48 pilot and 152 mains in it right now but I have not tried it yet
LiftdT4R
Hey, what's up dude? I got those needles from CPW, when I originally bought the carbs they had no needles. The dude at CPW told me they were the right needles for a Banshee (I'm not sure if he's right or not, but the bike ran fine with them). He also set me up on the jets and pilots, which I got close to being setup for my MXport motor with full airbox, and pipes. But I got tired of playing around with them. If you have any questions shoot me a PM.
hercalmighty
I'm just trying to figure out what size they are so I can figure out what I need to do if I have to rejet. It sucks because all the sizes I see are three letters not whats on those needles. Once I get some new fuel lines and can take the thing out I'll see what I need to do. If I know what the needle size is it will make my life alot easier. Thanks
LiftdT4R
True. I'd call up CPW, Carb Parts Warehouse, and ask them. The dude I talked to there and ordered them off of was very knowledgable. Im sure theyd be more then willing to help you out.
No Limit Powersports
The N68A needle just insigniates that its for a 28pwk is there any other letters on the needle? It should be a A?? The 3 letter on all keihin needles are Taper L1(or length) Diameter
hercalmighty
They are the only I see. I will check again. Would they be any where else besides right under the clips?
Thewhite
The N68A needle is a dual taper needle ... is the best one you can run. I begun by a set of JJK and change to the N68A. The N68A begin by a taper of 1 deg and with a 3 deg for the seconf taper instead of approx 3 deg all the way for the JJK
