  1. Yamaha banshee wont start I have a 2000 Yamaha banshee 350. Since I purchased it 3 years ago, it's started up first or second kick every time. Just recently I put new gas in it, cleaned the air filter, and (attempted to) replace the spark plugs. I started first by replacing the gas. Afterwards it started again on the first kick and ran fine. Then I tried to replace the spark plugs, realized that I bought the wrong ones, and put the old spark plugs back in. The first kick it started, and then died (first time this has ever happened). Then I started it again, and the same thing happened. After a couple more attempts I got the quad to idle again and everything seemed okay. Finally, I then took off the air filter, cleaned, and re-oiled it (I followed all of the k&n cleaning instructions very carefully), but when I put the air filter back on the next day I couldn't get it to start. I checked the plugs and there's still spark in both of them. When I try to bump start it it bogs for a couple seconds, then dies. Any ideas? I'd also like to add that the screw inside the spark plug boot popped out of the boot when I took the plug out of the left cylinder. I simply threaded it back into the boot, but could this still be an issue? Again, it is still getting spark when I crank it.
  2. I recently tore down my banshee. It had a shifting problem and I fixed the problem with no troubles. Put it all back together, put brand new gaskets and seals on everything and torqued everything to specs. It seems like a fuel issue. The banshee is getting plenty of power to the plugs but they come out dry every time. I'm getting fuel to my carbs because it drains out of the settling bowl after I kick it a few times. It ran right when I took it apart. It almost seems like the reeds aren't opening for some reason. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks
  3. okay on my 99 banshee, was running real strong till it fell over on its side on cement. continued to run strong for another 30 mins. then issues came from the exhaust it started smoking all white smoke out of one pipe only. turned it off and parked it. took the spark plugs out checked them, looked fine. problem is the banshee will not start back up so i can't really diagnose the problem. does anybody know where this could come from?
  4. okay so i started my banshee the day before ran in idle smooth. next day i installed my eliminator kit & my boyesen dual power reeds on my stock reed cage. i followed all the proper instructions, filed down the left&right carb outside for my new idle screw.. even removed the black tors computer on the frame the day before i completely removed my tors and like i said my banshee ran smooth during idle. took off the tors cable that runs from the throttle, sealed it, unplugged all the extra cables. synced the carbs the slides are equal. put my k&n pods on and tried to kick start it, no start.. i thought it could be the reeds so i took them out and loosened the screws so the pedals could be a little more looser still no start. can somebody help me find the problem? 565ft above water, and i ride on the streets(outlaw)
  5. Got my banshee out yesterday and tried to start it , wouldn't start at all so I push started it , ran perfect. When I turned the engine off to put fuel and wash my glasses out I thought it won't start , but it started like it used to do(engine was still warm). Today it wouldn't start on cold engine , push started it and runs perfect , starts on warm engine no problem. One of my spark plug wires is broken but I put it back into place and secured it. Also when I turn the choke on the quad slowly dies , the rev's go down until it bogs down? Any help? Will be very grateful for help.
