Not specifically for a banshee but I figured I’d ask here anyways since banshee guys tend to know answers tuning questions. I have a PWM 38 4XL from a 1997 YZ250 with a needle that I can’t seem to find any information on. Most likely due to my lack of hands on use of Keihin carbs. The bike has a built engine with an old generation bills pipe that I have no actual paperwork on so the carb may have some wild needle in it that’s not normal for a PWM. The needle code reads N40G from what I can tell. Any info is appreciated.

Whats up guys. I have these carbs and I decided I do not want to run them. I've taken them apart and cleaned them. Looks like they are running 200 main jets and I haven't looked at the pilot but if you're interested let me know and I will check for you. So, I am looking to trade for some other parts. What I have: - Two complete Kehnin carbs, one K&N style air filter and joint (if I find the others I will send it too, I'd imagine they are together somewhere but I'm not sure I even have them), throttle cable (needs 1 new adjuster), needles and assembly, caps. - Chinese "Stock" Carbs What I need: - Stock carbs (complete), boots, the connector pipe, reeds and reed cages, spacers and the bolts if you have them. - Anti-T.O.R.S. throttle cable for stock carbs - Air filters/stock air box and filter(s) What I want: - Toomey T5 pipes (or similar): Don't care if they are pretty just minimal dents - DC Conversion kit I will add to this once I know more. I'm planning on getting some new carbs very soon, just not sure which size would be best? Current set up -stock jugs .020 -4mill - +4 timing -cool head not sure but believe 21cc domes Running 91 fuel (premium in Cali) -Vforce reeds -stock carbs -dual K&N open filters (no air box no outer wears) - boost bottle - a sticker or 2 to add hp I'm planning on sending jugs to HJR for a dune port soon as well and going .030 (since I already have the Pistons) I was thinking 33 or 35mm pwk, what do you guys think is better? -also who has the best price???? So far I believe F.A.S.T has the best price at $174.98 Thanks a head!

So, I sold my stock carb set-up in favor of the 33mm PWK's for my future Serval build. What jets and needles do you recommend with the following mods: 33mm Keihin PWK's w/K&N's and Outerwears UPP Intakes w/cross-over tube VF4's Mull Pump Gas Head +4* timing 91 octane w/YamaLube 2R mixed 40:1 stock pistons stock port CPI pipes Sea level in Pismo 75-80* F What pilot? What needle? What main? Stock 33mm PWK's come with the following: 52 pilots CGL needle 165 main jet I talked to a shop and they mentioned the following to start: 48-50 pilots CGL or CEL needles 155 mains Thoughts?

Can the adjustable idle built into the choke on my keihin carbs affect top end performance? If anyone knows where a good starting point is from all in or all the way out, please let me know.
