Hello anyone who sees this I have made a post about my banshee starting first kick everytime and it’s a long story but it stopped starting after like 3 days of not starting it I have cleaned out and rebuilt the carbs I have a 1989 banshee and TORS delete done , I have oem mikuni carbs , changed to brand new ngk caps and ngk iridium spark plugs and oem ignition coil , I have vforce 4 reeds and was going to check if the reed petals needs replacements running 40:1 gas , rocking K&N filter with filter wrap and air box with no lid changed out the fuel petcock as well and cleaned out the gas tank semi best as I can because it was clogged with sand and debris and gunked up was going to switch the throttle cable because one side of the screw on the cap was broken….. got brand new motion pro tors eliminator cable and caps and spring and screws… and new ventilation hose as well… but yes going to replace the idle screws , throttle cable , caps , sync screws , needle , spring as well , maybe did a lot of extra stuff but still wanted to upgrade this thing anyways… main thing is that it doesn’t start nor idle and only starts when I throw mixed gas through the back of the carbs , but man ive been banging my head around trying to figure this out but man i really need help i want this to start really bad and i definitely am not no mechanic but i am trying to do things myself and yes so if anyone knows anything that could help that would be very much appreciated….. thank you so much to anyone…..

USED TO START FIRST KICK NEED HELP ASAP
19Ferro89sheeuser posted a topic in Banshee Repairs and Mods
Hello I’ve always went on here to find answers to my problems and now I wanted to find an answer to a specific problem because I’m not sure what this is and I’ve been banging my head around to find out ive changed out the spark plugs , ignition coil , cleaned and rebuilt the carbs , didn’t rejet it sync or tune anything yet but it should still start I believe , used to start first kick everytime no effort to be honest , then I stopped starting it for a couple days and then it just poof stopped starting wont start at all even with choke on or off , but I believe , like the last 3-4 times I tried , if you throw gas through the back of the carbs it’ll start right up nice but not idle , Im just not sure what to do anymore specially cuz im not a mechanic by any means im just good at following directions. i know i cleaned and rebuilt the carbs good and im thinking might be faulty ignition wiring OR the throttle cable and the little sync screw on the TORS delete caps , i want to do a compression check but the thing is there should be compression because one day it starts up first kick like nothing , idles , runs and literally not even a full 48-72 hours and it stops turning on im banging my head around trying to figure this out I need to lol i want to find the power of this thing and use it , I got it like 2-3 months ago not sure if it’s stock or not but it looks badass and rode it like twice because summer hasn’t been nice lately but yeah hope someone sees this.. Thanks -
Not specifically for a banshee but I figured I’d ask here anyways since banshee guys tend to know answers tuning questions. I have a PWM 38 4XL from a 1997 YZ250 with a needle that I can’t seem to find any information on. Most likely due to my lack of hands on use of Keihin carbs. The bike has a built engine with an old generation bills pipe that I have no actual paperwork on so the carb may have some wild needle in it that’s not normal for a PWM. The needle code reads N40G from what I can tell. Any info is appreciated.

Whats up guys. I have these carbs and I decided I do not want to run them. I've taken them apart and cleaned them. Looks like they are running 200 main jets and I haven't looked at the pilot but if you're interested let me know and I will check for you. So, I am looking to trade for some other parts. What I have: - Two complete Kehnin carbs, one K&N style air filter and joint (if I find the others I will send it too, I'd imagine they are together somewhere but I'm not sure I even have them), throttle cable (needs 1 new adjuster), needles and assembly, caps. - Chinese "Stock" Carbs What I need: - Stock carbs (complete), boots, the connector pipe, reeds and reed cages, spacers and the bolts if you have them. - Anti-T.O.R.S. throttle cable for stock carbs - Air filters/stock air box and filter(s) What I want: - Toomey T5 pipes (or similar): Don't care if they are pretty just minimal dents - DC Conversion kit I will add to this once I know more. Cash can be added on either end. Let's work out a deal. Reverb Feedback: https://reverb.com/shop/rys-gear eBay Feedback: https://www.ebay.com/usr/guitarfreak2109 You can also text me (951) 662-6847 I am located in Buena Park, California and I prefer in person but I am willing to ship.

I recently tore down my banshee. It had a shifting problem and I fixed the problem with no troubles. Put it all back together, put brand new gaskets and seals on everything and torqued everything to specs. It seems like a fuel issue. The banshee is getting plenty of power to the plugs but they come out dry every time. I'm getting fuel to my carbs because it drains out of the settling bowl after I kick it a few times. It ran right when I took it apart. It almost seems like the reeds aren't opening for some reason. Any suggestions would be much appreciated. Thanks

Hey all, new to the forums and just had a couple questions about my banshee which I just bought. The quad has an aftermarket airbox and filter on it and the previous owner has 1/4 inch tubing running from the carb and into the air box. I was told this was done so the carb could receive more air flow but after a bit of riding fuel from the carb will slowly fill the lines. I empty them after each ride but am curious as to what that's about. Also on my last ride I brought it back and it sat for about 5 minute when all of a sudden the radiator gushed out a bunch of coolant, at first I thought it was a loose hose but it appears that the liquid came directly out of the bottom of the rad. Any help on these topics would be appreciated as this is my first banshee.
