  1. Did you buy it new or used?Thats one hell of a list in such a short period of time. The reason why maintenance is important is the fact that everything that happens on a shee occurs faster than any other ATV out there.More spin, more torque applied to parts which = more wear and less life on parts. I feel bad that these things are souring you banshee expirience.Stick with us on the BHQ.Be inquisitive and pay close attention to all posts that can help aid you to recovery. Here at BHQ we can also find the most cost affective way to get you back in action and stomp that rappy.
  2. Yamaha is making plenty of money off their 80's banshee technology. Why spend more money on a product when it sell well as it is?Banshees are manufactured cheaply and the markup is already enormous for yamaha. As you can see all they did was give it a sexier look with different color plastic, frame and fancier decals to entice the 04 buyer.I believe this will carry through to the year of demise for the shee which is in 2006.
  3. What do you have for an air filter setup? If your using an outerwear you can cut the back of the air box lid for better air flow.Doing so you will be able to use your clamps and still provide some protection for those muddy conditions.
  4. Make it a sticky or just like the jetting FAQ.Good idea.Go for it!
  5. Damn good find! I'm not ready to remove the TORS just yet. The wires leading to the sensor on the parking brake, what do i do with those? Can i cut, twist and be done with it?I want to do the perch mod when you cut off whats not needed and polish whats left for the clutch. Can I perform steps 1-5 without the removal kit? Will it still idle normally?
  6. This is great timing I'm removing mine tonight! Remove the long ass bolt out of the rear brake.Use an allen wrench to remove the two bolts.the plastic housing and everything should be loose.Wipe the flat area down clean the using the two allen bolts, install your E-brake block off. Head up to your e-brake on the left side of handlebars and line up the two adjusts so you can slip the cable through and out the bottom of the lever.Make sure your not messin with the clutch lever! Then slide the cable through the shee and pull it through the rear. You should have the cable and all. I am stuck on one thing.I still have TORS.I need to find out if i just simply unplug the two wires leading to the parking brake, snip and twist or do something different.
  7. Duece, Did you have to richen the needle after you installed the reeds? My compression is around 142 cold test on 21cc domes.I looking for better throttle response and looking to smooth out the initial "jolt" the PC's deliver.I honestly believe that trying to hang on when the powerband kicks in is why I feel so damn fatigued after a days ride.
  8. I have started to tackle the lightswitch powerband affect on the PC's.My reeds will be at my house tomorrow. What kind of response can i expect from the reeds on pro circuit pipes? Will it be a good thing?
  9. I feel for the riders that dont have the knowledge or poor mechanical skills to repair their own quad.So they take it to a dealer to have it repaired at a heavy cost to either the father or themselves.Trusting that the dealer is good to them since they bought it there in the first place.Unknowingly paying an obscene amount of money just to have the jets messed with. Finally that person is able to ride. The bike was jetted lean so in a short time the same rider is back with an even bigger problem.Lean feels mean to the rider so they falsely believed it was jetted appropriately. Stunts like this occur. They can smell a rider that has no quad knowledge a mile away, so they capitalize. Always educate yourself on the quad you ride.
  10. I'm expiriencing that problem right now and it is an air leak.Check you boot clamps and make sure they are tight. Also inspect for tears.
  11. It's 8.25 for a quart of yamalube 2R here in CT stealerships.Sorry you got ripped.Thats robbery without a gun.
  12. Who knows what yamaha has up their sleeve. We all had no idea they would put out a 45hp 450.Too many inexpirienced kids would break their shit on a 500.= more pressure on atvers.
  13. I'm with Led on this one if you can do it apply some of that money to mods.I think it great you almost done!
  14. Hello there Fellow HQers. If you have the time look around in the garage/shop and see if you have any of these items kickin around. If so let me know and i will give you a far price for the items.Everyone gets paid with a postal money order sent via priority mail to speed up the process and to let you know i dont play when it comes to internet transactions. -stock carb boots -rear brake pads -V-force reeds?
  15. To make you feel better.New banshees in Connecticut go for 6500 to as high as 6900.I headed to New Hampshire and bought my 2002 b/w for 5200 even. Thats a great deal.I'd snatch that up quick!Don't worry we will walk you through the rest!
  16. What pistons are you using? How much did it run you?I'm interested in the same thing you got coming to you. Be sure to post how much better the shee performs!
  17. ....And a banshee weighs in at an astounding 600lbs! He rolled the thing and held on for the ride. Elephant 350 twin. Then twards the end the pills were to blame for his state.
  18. Practice starting in 2nd gear if you have the chance. It will get you into your higher gears faster.
  19. I eat wheat thins during a ride. With alot of water.Never tried the biscuit thing. It's almost like this should be under the maintenance forum.
  20. Definetly check the water pump impeller. Those plastic things love to melt away.
  21. Cut the back of the airbox lid off and bump your mains 2 sizes. You'll get great low end power.First get an aftermarket filter before doing so. Tires are a big plus.Cut the front fenders.
  22. I like the dial-a-dome feature they have on the head. You can have a compression option of 120-200 psi.Thats one hell of a twin cylinder.Just for kicks we should get dementions on that bad boy to see if it would be a go or no go.
  23. I'm not so big on new members selling parts with 40 or less posts anyway.Unless there is a reputable member that knows the seller. Thanks NYUK for doing the research. This bullshit should not happen on the HQ!!
  24. Dear Mr.Osbourne, Can you do us here at the BHQ a favor. On your interview tonight please dont curse the ATV for your accident. We know you are a public figure with clout and influence and you can help our hobbie form being even more damned by the public eye. They dont understand that ATV recreation can be a safe and enjoyable activity without incident. -Thanks P.S- If Jack is willing to part it out let us know.
