  1. The top end is off and I see very little scoring on the cylinder walls.I do see that I spilled a few drops of coolant inside the case though but that can be resolved. There is some sand around the crank but I cant find the missing ring.I wonder if it shot out he exhaust?I did take a few clearance measurements on the crank and everything is perfect.I does look like the connecting rod has been whacking itself against the case because i do see some wear. Why the hell is that?
  2. How much compression in each cylinder? I know what it's like to have a ring disintergrate and it sucks. Can you explain in any more detail? What do your plugs look like?
  3. I'm interested in some pits myself.Does the owner of the pits care if we ride in there?I have never gotten a riding ticket and trying to avoid my first.I only ride where i know it's cool. I'm in the central western portion of CT. It's an easy drive to where you are.The Monson pits sound like a place to ride.
  4. Their food has the most oustanding laxitive effect. If you've been straining on a "monkey fist" at the crapper just have yourself a clownburger and and let it do the work for ya.BALOOOP!ahhhhhhhhhhhhh.
  5. McDonalds sems to target the minority in their advertising. That pisses me off.If they want to keep it real why don't they target the obese? That would be a commercial for ya! The commercial I think is weird is the Nike Lebron James in the gospel chapel one. They could have thought of something better for the guy.Strange stuff.
  6. You'll like it here.I hope your yard is big enough so you can open it up.Any question can be answered here about the banshee.
  7. I have the cylinders off and I found an ugly sight. The left looks fine but the right is messed. My top right ring is gone! the friggin thing disintergrated.I see black specs around my crank on that side. There is also a large chunks out of my right piston about 4mm in size. All rings show excessive and uneven wear. This sucks. For the first time I cursed the banshee.I'm not myself right now. Case splitting starts tomorrow.yipee.All that debris is...you know where.
  8. For god sakes don't go to the dealer. You'll get charged a kings ransom. to save some bucks go to Toomey,RMATV,VITO's, on the net and order it with the cable, tops, idle screw and all that jazz for around $60.Dealer may charge you seperately for the parts instead as a whole.
  9. Thanks Tim. I will be starting the breakdown this afternoon. It's actually a good time to do the job because snow is on the ground and Coalfest is a few months from now.All I need is a tube of yamabond and some patience. I will PM you from time to time for guidance because you have been where I am now.
  10. Wow! Great prices at Racers Edge! that is cheap as hell and it comes as a complete kit! I will buy them soon but there may be a bigger issue than I thought with my shee.Damn it! thanks!
  11. Tim, your engine inhaled sand too? The sand I took in was so evident that it was caked to the damn reeds! Looks like I'm splittin cases. This will be my first top and bottom end work done to the shee.I have a clymers bible and the BHQ.Two good tools to help the job along.
  12. From now on I'm not going to feel right riding my shee.I will be looking around to see if anyone is pointing and laughing. All this time and someone drops the bomb........Fin great.
  13. How much does a 400ex rolling rolling frame weigh? Tell me that and I'll let you know if it's gonna be a badass machine or not. It's getting a little late in the game to market 2-stroke quads. The last year is 2006. They better hustle!
  14. Nice work! He chose the right quad to do it on.Mike Metzger would like to see that.ME!ME!ME! I wanna try!!
  15. Sounds great I'll look at both.I want to make sure they have the needle bearings in the kit. The ones on the shee have around 800-1000 hrs. on them.Lack of trust I guess.
  16. Blasters are the choice for first time 2-stroke ATV enthusiasts. They are normally young and have tight cash budgets. He probably has riders in there trying to crunch numbers with him to get lower pricing on stuff. You may have caught him at a bad time and he fulminated the the stereotype of blaster owners. He's not the only game in town, you know. If you don't feel comfortable take your hard earned loot elsewhere!
  17. Where can i find the most inexpensive piston kits.I need all the clips, pins, bearings and gaskets for the job.Either wiseco or vitos and they can be the ultra-lites or the power pistons.Lowest I have found is $194.63 for the power pistons. Who can beat the price?
  18. I'll take two of those as well in XL! damn nice shirts!
  19. Either it's "the works" at PassionRE or "the works" at Heff's house.Either way youre getting stroked. No more" I just read it for the articles" bullshit. If you bid.
  20. Should this be moved to product reviews.
  21. If you lube the cable try to keep sand away from it as much as you can.Clean the throttle assy. well. Then plug up that drain hole thats at the bottom so nothing can enter.I have heard that snipping a few coils off the return spring helps.
  22. 2R works well. I'm not sure if it's a good idea to mix it 50:1 or 100:1 though. I keep it 32:1 and thats probably the only advice i follow from yamaha corp. It keeps the crank happy.
  23. Get a load of this compression. 126 left and 82 on the right.OUCH ! I have 21cc domes on her too! The left worked so damn hard because of the "lazy" right it dropped in compression as well. Time to go shopping for some top end kits. It's kinda depressing when you're shee is down . How to get to Bridgeport,CT in a hurry>>>>>> .
