  1. Gilmour is one of the great guitarists. That dude can work the shit out of one note for 5 minutes and it sounds awesome.Fender strat with EMG single coil pickups is the combo.
  2. Jim, This thing is a total beast. I'm very satisfied with my motor. Good info on the needles I'll order some on monday. I read through the Sudco booklet that came with the carbs and seems like one could order countless needles for the PWK 35's and still not get it right. I made a mistake of riding through my back lawn with your motor and lets say it makes a great tiller!
  3. That looks like a good setup but I wanted the best airflow possible for the motor so i went with the dual pod filters.Plus i don't like anything stock for intake.Personal preference issue. I'm at sea level(500ft) and i have a feeling that a slightly different taper on the needle will do the trick to solve the bog. The trick is choosing the appropriate needle.Jetting is great here in New England because the weather has been 80-85 degrees for the past month. Loco, looking at your carbs i noticed your idle adjusts are brass and not plastic.I have the plastic and the flathead chews it up good.
  4. I think you may want some larger carbs for you motor.I have a feeling a dune port needs to breath a little more.If that's what the builder told you than that's the way it should be but with dual k&n's and Vforce reeds with his porting on just stock pilots, I find that a bit profound.
  5. Who's a pig?Oh, a police officer upholding the law.j/k. Speeding tickets are almost too damn easy to get nowadays. If you get 3 traffic tickets wthin three years here in Connecticut you have to take a 4 hour drivers saftey course or you're licence is suspended.Connecticut police don't take shit from anyone. In fact they love to throw state reps. in the clink.
  6. How bad is it? Normally a few passes of mother polish will take care of it.If not try a buffing wheel and some inox if the part is removable. If you have some nice billet on your shee be sure to hit the bypass on your waterheater when washing your shee. Billet hates soft water.
  7. That's some good shit Kenr74. You're right! Yamaharacr34, What the hell's wrong with bummin around the HQ?There's gotta be some kind of tinkering to do on the shee.Go polish the clutch cover or the cases.
  8. Gun's N Roses--"used to love her" Skid Row--------"Remember" Pantera----------"I'm broken" Elvis--------------Don't be cruel" Brian-------------"BoooHooo,Waaaaa,whyyyyyyyyyy,I did everything for youuuuuuu,Dont do thiiiiiiiiiiis,I love youuuu tooooo muuuuuch,Waaaaaaa!". We all know the "Brian" song.
  9. Go to quobaug riders and they have some pics of different quad climbs. Some of the hills are for speed and not very steep.AMA likes to throw in some small mounds to mess with you. They do it just to humor themselves more than anything. That dude you see on the orange shee gets some of the best times on the circuit. He's old school. I will be the only sole with a Passion motor on the circuit and plan to make a big entrance when I do.These boys are in love with their cheetah setups.
  10. I'm running 16/40 sprockets with a stock swingarm for now but will slap on my +2 for kicks later on.The power of the Passion motor is delivered so smoothly throughout acceleration that you can run a stock setup and still maintain control.Conditions vary on the hillclimbs up here. They can be packed dirt, loose granular, wet sand, drysand.I might have to change sprockets sometimes to put that "Passion pull" to the ground. Chris I wish I could tell you what would work on 500' sand drags. You will have to try out a series of sprockets to find the right setup. Loco, did you check out neha2711.com? Those climbers are all business!
  11. See that wasn't so bad ! What pilots do you have in there now?If Jim sent you mains for break-in keep them in there for the 2 gallons of break-in.If you feel that you're too rich or lean on the needles, adjust to your needs but keep the main for now. I'm still laughing a bit because you don't really know what you have yet.Till your done with break-in and hit that throttle!
  12. Some 2-stroke owners are so happy to ride when they get to their spot they forget the responsibility of proper warm-up.I've seen this time and time again and I want to warn them of the danger but they are"all growed up"boys and girls that should know better. Everything Audiowizard stated is true and should not be taken lightly.
  13. The blah could just be an airscrew issue. How far do you move the throttle to get the blah?Keep moving the air screw in 1/4 to 1/2 at a time while it's running. You should get it. If your 1/2 to all the way in on the screws, stop screwin' and throw in one size larger pilots. Make sure everything is adjusted or turned the same on both carbs.
  14. That's some wicked comp. if you're at sea level.Run 110 or higher, keep your ears open for pinging and watch your plugs.
  15. I got em' if you need em'.
  16. Jim's right get rid of all the TORS.I have three wires running my whole shee. Chris wait till you feel the dragport pull. This thing is all business.I just about peed my drawers.Got it just about dialed in today. How are you making out?
  17. Welcome to the BHQ! Yeah I have seen the plastic. I want to keep my quad just as banshee lookin' as i can.No Meier Botox for my ride.
  18. Raise the slides up by adjusting the cable at the throttle and use the adjusters at the carb tops. You'll have to mess with it a little but it works.Turn your air screws 1.5 turns and screw in your idle adjusts on the carbs 2 turns from all the way in.Take your filters off and see how much you are raising the slides. They don't have to be very far from the bottom to get a good idle.*Synching your carbs are important with this engine It may sound a little unorthodox but it worked for me and it idles like a dream.Richening the needle helped with the bog. What pipes do you have on the motor?I'm at sea level in case your higher up.
  19. Ideal if your going to sit your kids down for "THE TALK".
  20. Noss Machine all the way brother! You should see the size of the water jackets in the Noss head compared to stock. The flow couldn't be better!
  21. That sucker is up catagory 4 strength.I've been glued to the tube to see where that thing is gonna go and how much it's gonna strengthen. Good luck and I hope you and your family is safe! Every insurance company here in Hartford,CT is pissed about this one because they will have to cut some hefty checks after it's all through.Hartford,CT is the insurance capitol of the world.
  22. Yeah ,you're all BansheeHQ wannabe's with hondas.
  23. They should at least dedicate a half dozen pages to 2-stroke quads.Dirtwheels were awefully chirpy back in the mid 80's. I'm done buying that magazine anyway. I need the coin for 110 fuel.
  24. It's a good question to ask! The trick is to use the main jet that is just right for your mods, temp.,and altitude without going too rich or lean.Keeping it rich will gunk up things in your motor. It will also mess up your silencer packing.Thats more oil your shee needs to burn off.You will be fuel starved. Lean is just asking for trouble. If your lean during the day when the temps outside are 85-90degrees and your evenings are roughly 65-70 your running that much leaner. Lean scares the crap out of most banshee owners. Try to get as close as possible with the main.
