actually, i never said that the rich are being overtaxed. i dont have a problem with the way the tax system is in this country. i have repeatedly said that most people, rich included, dont appreciate how good they have it. i love our country, i think we are all very fortunate to be americans, no matter what tax bracket we fall in. you obviously have a hard enough time keeping your own story straight, so stop trying to put words in my mouth. one thing at a time honey....

the rich people of this country pay 90% of all taxes, without them we wouldnt be quite so well off. not to mention all the jobs they provide. its easy for people to shit on the rich, but most of them worked their asses off to get where they are, and stay there. i think they deserve a little bit more respect. we have great schools in this country, great government programs, great roadways, all things many countries dont have, and all things funded by taxes. i dont think most people appreciate just how well we have it in this country. and im not just comparing us to underdeveloped nations, but industrialized nations as well. complain about gas prices being around $2/gallon? go to the UK where its around $7/gallon. complain about the taxes you pay? go to switzerland where you pay in 75% of your income to taxes, no matter how much you make. buncha spoiled brats with big mouths.

to be honest, way too honest really... ive dated ugly guys, ive dated fat guys, ive dated smart guys, dumb guys, good lookin guys....after all this, ive found looks have a lot less to do with peoples' attitudes than youre thinking. you do live in an area where everything revolves around appearance and/or money, so dont forget, not everyplace is like that. ive dated ugly guys who rarely got laid who have HUGE egos and are total assholes, and i dated good looking guys who have zero self esteem and are nothing but sweet to women. its all more about how that person was raised, and how they have been treated in their lives by people. same idea as yours about hot chicks being made to think their shit dont stink, but its just got less to do with looks really. some people think im good looking, but that isnt really a big part of my life, never has been. i grew up in a home where there were way too many serious issues for looks to even be thought about. and in my community, no one really cares about hot chicks. if you arent cool, no one cares how hot you are. and if you are cool, no one cares how ugly you are.

if men werent buying, women couldnt sell it. dont get me wrong, i know there are some snotty bitchy whores out there, but the same goes for men. i just dont like being categorized with all those shallow sluts. i find it offensive, and so would you. and on another note, these horrible attitudes some of you have toward women show themselves in the way you treat them, whether you realize it or not. that has a lot to do with the types of women you find yourselves with, and how they treat you. (this in no way goes for led, im pretty sure he's one of the nice guys...too nice if you found yourself giving stuff up for her, like your guitar) you teach people how to treat you, so in every failed relationship, you have to look at yourself and see where you went wrong and learn from that. i know i sure have a long ways to go, i havent figured everything out yet. ive had a real shitty relationship track record, and i know all the shitty ways ive been treated were partially my fault, if even for just allowing myself to be treated that way.

id rather be able to put it in a private savings fund, or invest it. like you said, that way at least i could pass that shit onto my family someday if i want to. or hell, have some sort of home ownership incentive. nothing better than owning your own home. my great grandmother is 90, owns her home outright and that alone, not having a house payment or rent to pay, helps tons. but she worked her whole life (when it was almost unheardof for a woman to work outside the home) and now lives off her own personal savings. thats the way to do it man. all she did is save, simple. unfortunately most people dont want to be responsible for themselves and taking care of their own finances. theyd rather have the government pull automatically from their checks, then sit and bitch about it too. lol you dont have to be rich to secure your financial future. just gotta be froogle and wise about it. like ikikazz said, alls it takes is stuffing a $20 bill in a piggy bank everyday.

umm holyman i never said ss had an expiration date. push the throttle was right, i was referring to the reasons the system was created, and the fact that those reasons do not exist anymore. the reasons for the recent panic over social security being in trouble is not because of "the fat cats in washington" taking money from the fund, its the fact that the baby boomers are all reaching retirement age shortly, will be pulling from the fund while 1. the next generation in line isnt as large as the baby boomers generation, and therefore fewer people will be paying in while so many are pulling from it, and 2. the life expectancy of the average person has soared, while the retirement age hasnt changed much, so people will be living off of and pulling from the fund for waaay longer than expected when the system was first put into place. its just an outdated system and needs reform, or to be replaced alltogether. but no matter who takes that first step to do something about it, democrat or republican, they will face an army of ridicule. just the nature of the beast of change.

youre so dramatic. go look up the history of social security. it shouldnt even still exist. the reasons it was created for are all gone now. its so easy for you all to say "yea everything is because of the evil fat cats in washington" and everyone jumps on the bandwagon and says "yeah!!" but theres just no substance to that sorry old standby of an excuse.
