push, i read your post about the number of republicans polled vs the number of democrats. thats exactly the type of shit i was talking about. its a shame. and it goes both ways im sure. even the way they word their questions can be trickery. especially with this issue on top of us, many people dont understand whats going on behind the hype of the media. they took this story and ran with it, without informing the public about the facts. at face value, sure it sounds like a bad situation. with a little background information, and some calm common sense, its not the nightmare it first appears to be. unfortunately bush is a bit of a cowboy and doesnt ever feel the need to explain things to the public, which gets him in a bit of a PR mess.

a rebuttal for your off topic comments about bush's approval ratings? i have none, cause i know nothing about the poll or how it was conducted etc etc. i dont pay much attention to polls whether they are good or bad, anyone who has taken even basic statistics classes in college knows how easy it is to make any sort of poll turn out the way you want it to. and to be honest, i dont really care much about what the rest of the nation thinks about bush, good or bad. you could show me a poll where 90% of the us loves him and i wouldnt think much of it. i know what i think of him. what other people think of him does nothing for me. and how am i brainwashed? im the one who always has good solid information and facts to back up my opinions while the rest of you yell "30% approval rating!!" or something of the sort, and run away.

its impossible to have a discussion about any issue when the other side just repeats itself over and over no matter what the topic at hand. bush is evil, bush is money hungry, bush is a liar, bush has a low approval rating. blah blah. id like to actually have some real solid information from the other side. im open to learning more about the subject and more about another point of view but its all baseless ramblings so far. no one seems to actually read anyones posts and give any feedback.

i still dont see how this whole sale to dubai is bush's fault. can someone explain that to me? something like 30% of our ports have been managed by foreign countries for some time now. its nothing new. and bush had nothing to do with selling these 6 to dubai, remember? it was the british company who owned them previously. so how is bush profiting from this transaction? i totally get that bush has good reason to want to stay on good terms with dubai. we have military bases there, and a big cia base there i believe, we are in a great spot there to keep an eye on everything in the arab world. this doesnt make bush an evil monster, or some capitalist meanie, putting his own motives ahead of our national security. to the contrary. hes looking out for us, our interests as a nation etc. having dubai signing paychecks and unloading cargo at our ports isnt a security risk, we are still in charge of security there, americans are still filling the work force there, they cant fire everyone and hire a bunch of people from the UAE, they cant circumvent current security measures, what exactly do you think is going to happen?? i really have no problem taking back our ports and having them all run by the US if there are companies here who want to do it. but i am definately against this racist type of descrimination, flying off the handle before getting all the information just cause you see an opportunity to bash the current administration. and how is it that there was a big uproar when we went after the bad guys, and now theres a big uproar when we DONT go after the good ones??

man o man. my doc told me yesterday it can take 4-6 weeks in some cases, and thats what i should expect. i almost cried haha i was so shocked, i had no idea it would be such a long recovery. 30 pounds dude? oh my god. i dont have a spare 30lbs to lose, but i can sure see how it would be easy to lose it with this crap. my mom is freakin out, making me eat all the time, cause i went sooo many days without eating. it was hell. there was a point where i just really was begging for someone to just put a pillow over my face and end it. i had blue lips, nails, the whole nine. apparantly the crap in your lungs keeps you from getting enough oxygen to your blood. its pretty fucked up. now i know how its the sixth leading cause of death in the us.

bigwill. one minor fact problem with your post. it wasnt bush or even the us who sold the leases, it was the british company who owned them previously who sold them to the UAE company. they are basically the port managers, they dont control security, they dont change the employees, nothing. the us coast guard and us customms are still in control of security, and the dock workers still have to be hired from local unions. etc etc. and remember, the UAE have been our allies in the middle east, especially since 9-11. and they have the money and skill to make the big purchases of new security machinery etc that our ports need. a roughly 2 billion dollar upgrade. if it wasnt sold to the UAE, china was the next country in line to purchase them. this is nothing new. roughly 30% of our us ports are managed by other countries.
