good post
i really know nothing about religion and never really thought about it until some key events in my life made me wonder. well, not made me wonder so much as at first wishing that i was a religious person. that might not make sense without more explanation but its a bit too personal to talk about here where some people are so insensitive to what is very personal. anyways....ive always been curious about religion and god in general since then but have always struggled with the clash between science and religion. i think people who are raised without religion have a hard time just up and throwing away their natural tendency towards believing what is in front of you, believing what you can rationally predict, etc. the concept of believing in something bigger than what we can see is a bit foreign to us. not that its wrong to believe, and not that its wrong to not believe.
some of us dont know how to know God, and some of us cant imagine not knowing God. i think, either way, its tragic to not respect other peoples' beliefs when they come from a good place.
