  1. I like to use either ATF type F or Castrol GTX 20w-50. you wont have any problems with either one
  2. If i were to buy a new truck with a gas engine i would buy a new ford F-250 with the V10, XL, crew cab, short bed, 4x4 with the manual transfer case and standerd transmission ( ford has a problem with the automatic tranny after about 95,000 miles), now if i was looking at a new diesel truck i would get a dodge ram 2500 with the cummims that is one awsome truck. stay away from the ford trucks with the 6.0 liter diesel they had a lot of trouble with them. for 2008 ford came out with a new 6.4 liter twin turbo diesel, it might be a good engine but then again it might not because it's only the first year for the 6.4 so i would wait a year or two for ford to work out all of the bugs before i would buy it.
  3. I would just use a scotch brite pad, be carefull if you use sand paper
  4. you can see pictures on their web site www.rocketpipes.com
  5. I got them painted black, but on their web site the chrome ones are listed at $650.00 and the bare metal finish and the ones painted black are both listed at $485.00
  6. Hey guys I got my new rocket pipes and they look sweet, the quality of the welds are top notch and shipping was pretty fast. I know that in the past that rocket pipes had gotten a bad reputation because of poor quality and workmanship and people waiting weeks or even months to get there pipes, but with these new owners I dont think that these will be issues any longer. Hopefully with enough positive feed back they can get the company turned around and have a good profitable business. I hope that they perform as good as they look, but it will probably be awhile before I get a chance to put them on and try'em out because here in Ohio we've been getting alot of rain and now it's starting to mix with snow. I would post pics of the pipes for you guys but I don't have a didgital camera or a scanner.
  7. got a new set of aluminum pipe clamps from duner today, and these things look great. the shipping was super fast. if you guys need pipe clamps look this guy up. thanks DUNER
  8. Mine will do the same thing but it only seems to do it after i wash it. what i do to fix it is take the carb tops off and pull the slides out and then spray the slides with wd-40 then put everything back together, that seems to take care of the problem. try it and let us know if it helps
  9. If you do need to replace the clutch or anything else your best bet would be to contact Jeff at F.A.S.T racing. he will have what you need and he's a great guy to deal with and you cant beat his customer service his number is 785-364-5325
  10. sounds like your clutch is slipping.
  11. Wow this is great i've never won anything before. I would like to say thank you to yamashee1  and i'd like to say thanks to all others for the positive comments
  12. You can't go wrong dealing with Jeff he is a great guy to do business with and his customer service can't be beat :thumb:
  13. If you decide to go with the V Force2 reeds then you are going to have to modify your stock intake where it bolts up to the cylinder. there is a rubber piece that fits inside of the stock reed cage that will need to be cut off when you use the V Force 2 reeds
